MIT developed what was originally called a 3d printer. It used a starch powder to bond layers at a time. The patent rights were sold to Z Corporation. Today this term has branched out to include other technologies including FDM, SLA, SLS, LOM, MJM, DMLS, and so and so forth.
Does the Anycubic Predator Delta 3D printer work with G-code?
I have been having a hard time finding any files that print on the Predator. Most of the .stl files give me an error on line xxx and won't print. Most of the G-code files seem to print ok, so far. If you find any good g-code files please answere back. Thank you.
How do 3d printers help in the classroom?
3D printers enhance classroom learning by allowing students to create tangible models of complex concepts, fostering a deeper understanding of subjects like science, math, and engineering. They encourage creativity and innovation, as students can design and prototype their own projects, enhancing problem-solving skills. Additionally, 3D printing facilitates hands-on learning experiences, making abstract ideas more concrete and engaging. This technology also promotes collaboration, as students can work together on projects, sharing ideas and resources.
How do we decide which material should be used for making a particular object?
The choice of material for making a particular object depends on several factors, including the object's intended function, required durability, weight, cost, and aesthetic appeal. Additionally, environmental considerations, such as sustainability and recyclability, play a crucial role in material selection. Performance characteristics, like thermal and electrical conductivity, corrosion resistance, and ease of manufacturing, are also essential in determining the most suitable material. Ultimately, the decision involves balancing these factors to meet both practical and design requirements.
What kind of output does a 3D printer produce?
A 3D printer produces three-dimensional objects by layering materials, typically plastics, resins, or metals, based on digital models. The output can range from simple prototypes to complex designs, including functional parts, art pieces, and even medical implants. The final product is often characterized by its precise dimensions and the ability to create intricate geometries that traditional manufacturing methods may not achieve.
What are the features of 3D printing?
3D Printing (Additive Manufacturing) is popular amongst manufacturers & researchers. 3d Printing Services are very cost-effective & revolutionary technology in modern manufacturing.
3d Printing Is a cost-effective single-step process that helps manufacturers to save time & expenses for the whole manufacturing process.
You get the flexible design through 3d printing as you draw a design for your idea. i.e. you can get your concept in reality.
It is also environmentally friendly as it is uses less material to produce any 3d print.

How many kinds of 3D printers?
If your asking how many models/brands then you are not going to get an answer but if you're asking what categories then there are are the basic plastic printers, then resin, food printers, etc.
All 3d printers have a basically the same components:
Why was the 3-D printer invented?
It was invented to control the minds of the youth to slowly develop cancer within all of them and make them worship the demon lord satan
Early additive manufacturing equipment and materials were developed in the 1980s. In 1981, Hideo Kodama of Nagoya Municipal Industrial Research Institute invented two additive methods for fabricating three-dimensional plastic models with photo-hardening thermoset polymer, where the UV exposure area is controlled by a mask pattern or a scanning fiber transmitter.
Why is my 3D printer not printing well?
Install the latest software and open the control box to make sure that the connectors are all in place.
Is 3D printing an emerging market?
Yes 3D printing is one of the promising technologies that have the potential to transform mainstream manufacturing. It provides flexibility in the manufacturing of complex geometries at competitive prices and within a low production time.

You can easily buy a 3D printer online. Desktop versions of 3D printers can be had for as little as $500 for a kit you assemble yourself, or up to $1,700 for high quality, pre-built machines. Comparaboo.com has an always-updated list of the best rated desktop printers from a variety of manufacturers and suppliers.
Industrial versions are typically ordered directly from the manufacturer, or from a third party supplier of industrial machinery.
How do you print an assembly from solidworks on the uPrint 3D printer?
Am not sure if the uPrint 3d printer has an option of importing solidworks files, but it will definitely import .stl files.
you can save your assembly as .stl by using the save as option and choose .stl in "save as type".
Hope this helps.
