Some guns are still made at the Custom shop of FN, but the majority are now made in Japan. To say a gun is a "Belgian Browning", it is synonymous with quality. The handcrafted work that went into Belgian Browning guns is widely accepted as some of the finest mass produced guns ever made.

I would say a small week would definitely cut it to get a good glimpse of what the cities have to offer. I'd divide it like this: first 2 days Brussels (mo & tue), then 1 day of Bruges (wed), followed by 2 days Ghent (thu & fri) and to finish two days of Antwerp (sat & sun).

In Brussels, you visit some museums, hang out in some parks, check out the centre, shop and go see some jazz concerts in one of the typical bars. You have to plan your trip in Brussels with good advice from people where to go, because if you don't know the right places it will seem bland, uninteresting and grey. And that would be a shame, because it's not.

Bruges is basically one gigantic open air museum. It's beautiful and magical, but boring as hell. One day to see everything really cuts it. Just make sure you see the begijnhof, the swans and go up the tower.

Ghent is beautiful as well, but more alive. You shop and hang out, but you also use the weekend to party. On Thursday it's more student-party style in the Overpoort. On Friday you can catch some cool concerts in Charlatan, Vooruit, Kinky Star or one of the little bars.

The fact that it's all students, makes it dead around Saturday though. But you'll be in Antwerp by then. My home town!

Antwerp is a gorgeous city like Ghent, and has great history as well. Again, great opportunities for parties, clubbing and concerts present themselves everywhere, so use them to the fullest. On Sunday you can enjoy the laid-back atmosphere of the city whilst drinking a coffee on the groenplaats, the melkmarkt, or the kloosterstraat.
