Is there a redo in the game of chess?
Not in the official rules. In fact, by official rules, you aren't even allowed to touch a piece you don't intend to move (if you want to adjust a piece.... if it's not centered in the square or something... you have to specifically state that you're just adjusting it, otherwise once you touch it you have to move that piece and no other.)

In chess when a pawn crosses the chess board do you get your queen back?
In chess, when a pawn has crossed the board and reaches the last rank, that pawn is promoted. In promotion, the promoting player can claim any piece he wishes. It doesn't matter what he has or doesn't have on the board at the time. This sets the stage for more than one queen or more than two rooks, two bishops or two knights of the same color to be on the board at one time. If you had lost your queen previously, then you can "get your queen back" as asked. It is unusual for a player promoting a pawn to claim anything but a queen. The queen can do anything a rook or bishop can do, and might actually be said to "combine" the moves of both pieces. But there are rare cases where is it of benefit to ask for a knight, as this piece cannot be blocked when it attacks. In what is called under-promotion, the player might elect to take something other than the queen. Such a tactic might allow a player to increase his ability to attack without creating a stalemate because of a positional situation. As stated, the player promoting a pawn has choice of pieces, and must select either queen, rook, bishop or knight.
Why are chess tournaments casual when waiting for the games to start and serious when they play?
Because chess involves a lot of mental strain, they maintain their serious attitude for the games only, and relax and calm down when not involved so to rest their minds.
Similarly to other sports, players will remain casual and even friendly with other players, keeping the game attitude for the game, because they are only opponents on the field or on the table, not in real life.
What is average IQ of mensa members?
This is a really interesting question. I am unaware of the distribution of Mensa members' IQs, but thinking about it logically, we can hazard a guess. First, we should bear in mind that there are three types of average - the mean, median and mode. If we take the numbers 1, 2, 2, 2, 3 and 3 the mode (the average in that it occurs most often) is 2. The median (when you list all the numbers in ascending order the median is the one in the middle) is 2. The mean (add all the numbers and divide by the amount of numbers you added together - (1+2+2+2+3+3)/6) is 2.2. If we were to draw a graph of people's IQs it would form a curve, with the most people having an IQ of 100. The higher the IQ (above 100), the fewer people will have that IQ. If we use the Cattell III B scale (though there are different tests and different scales) a score of 148 is needed for entry into Mensa. Bearing in mind that Mensa members are at the high end of the curve on the graph, the mode (average - most often) is likely to be 148 because more people have an IQ of 148 than 149, and more people have an IQ of 149 than 150, and so on. The median and the mean averages will both be higher than this, but without knowing Mensa members' IQs it's difficult to guess. The highest score available on the Cattell III B test is 161, so it wouldn't be unreasonable to guess that the median would be about 150 and the mean about 153 or 154.

How do you play four way chess?
The board is a regular 8x8 board with 3x8 rectangles hanging off each side. Each player has pieces as normal on the back 2 rows of these rectangles. Each player takes it in turns to move as normal, going anticlockwise around the board. You cannot move diagonally across the inward corners (imagine the piece moving slowly. A quarter of it goes across a non-square, so this move is illegal). All rules are as normal but for check and checkmate. You do not HAVE to move out of check or checkmate, nor do these win a player anything. Instead, the important part is if someone takes another players king. If this happens, that player loses all their pieces (they're all removed from the board). This continues until only one person's king is left. He is the winner.
If you only have white and black pieces available, play as 2 person teams with whites opposite whites and blacks opposite blacks. If any of the 4 kings on the board are taken, that team loses.
