How many quarts of oil for oil change for 1989 Chevy 3500?
The oil used for a 4 cylinder and a 6 cylinder and an 8 cylinder are all different. Add 4.5 quarts for an 8 then check when warm. Put 3.5 for a 6 and check when warm. Add 3.5 to a 4 and check when warm. Add to the full line after checking when warm. You can do just as much damage to an engine overfilling the oil as you can without enough.

Idle fuel mixture setting for 68 250 Chevy?
the best way to set the idle mixture screw is with a gas analyzer. setting the mixture to 14:1. if you dont have one use a vacuum gage and set for the highest vacuum. If you dont have one of them then turn the screw in til the engine starts to stumble. then turn the screw out til the engine starts to stumble. turn the screw back in half the distance. that will be your best setting. Any leaner and the engine wont start, any richer and the engine will flood.

Will a V8 fit into a 1980 Chevy monza?
The answer is yes!! Earlier years offered a V8 version and those motor mounts will work for the 1980 version. I had a 350 mounted in mine. You also need to find the shorter turbo 350 trasmission that mounts with the Chevy V8. This was my first engine swap and there were only a few complications. It's a tight fit and changing spark plugs is tough. With the standard rear end you can light up the tires at 25 mph with no problem.

What type of engine oil for a 2003 Chevy 2500?
sometimes it's mentioned on the dipstick or on a sticker underneath the hood
Can be normal if it happens at a traffic light and again once you get moving again. Might still have some air left in the cooling system. Sometimes tricky to get it all out. Just taking the cap off the tank and running it for sometime will help, often times just drive it with eventually get rid of the air.
