User Avatar

Asked by Wiki User

Yes, it's okay to have an inverted nipple. For the most part this is just an aesthetic thing, if you chose to breastfeed it may be a problem so you may want to talk to a doctor about surgery to bring the nipple up. Some women also get nipple piercings to help bring the nipple up.

Is non surgical circumcision possible?

User Avatar

Asked by Wiki User

There is no way to remove the forskin other than to cut it off with a surgical incision. However, many effects can be done by "auto circumcision". This is done by continuously taping the shaft skin so that the foreskin stays behind the glans. Eventually, the skin will shorten and will sit behind the glans on it's own giving you the same look and many of the side effects of circumcision. Unfortunately, this process takes a very long time, as in many years. However, for some lucky individuals it may stay permanently retracted without the aid of tapes or rings.

This would be an unwise coarse of action however as the prepuce or foreskin protects the glans penis from outside harm and the removal of some would lead to the desensitising of its nerve rich surface.

What causes a circumcised penis to smell fishy?

User Avatar

Asked by Wiki User

Any body part that is not wash regularly can smell. If you didn't wash your armpits or butt, they would smell bad. If you don't wash your penis, it will smell, too. Uncircumcised penises are also more difficult to wash than circumcised penises.

Should Judaism abolish circumcision?

User Avatar

Asked by Wiki User

YES Absolutely Circumcision is Genital mutilation No Less

Let us begin with the original reason for circumcision. Branding. Circumcision is a rite where by the parents of a child put their mark on it. It has nothing to do with that child's faith. it has everything to do with presumably setting that child apart from others. It is also claimed that circumcision was introduced to replace the sacrifice of male baby's to god by a fear driven population with a replacement blood rite. Whichever it or if it is both. Surely Humanity has reached a stage where it can rethink and understand that there is no excuse for tampering with the beauty of the newborn infant by crippling its sexuality, both physically and psychologically.

Tampering with any child's sexual organs by mutilating it whether that child be male or female A human rights issue.

According to the Jewish religion a Jew is a Jew whether he is circumcised or not. i\It is even possible to do the rite of circumcision after death if the deceased happens to not be circumcised. Circumcision is not a statement of the faith of the person circumcised it is simply those that are already converted acquiescing to religious instruction, Leaving their mark so to speak, Branding their children at a time when they, the children are powerless to resist. I am not permitted to put links on this page so I will simply direct you to Google the underlined references in your browser. Google "Jews against circumcision" They are a group of educated and enlightened Jews who realize that the barbaric, primitive, torturous, and mutilating practice of circumcision has no place in modern Judaism. Have you ever asked yourself why the vast majority of the world's doctors claim that circumcision should be considered genital mutilation? As it is against their financial interest to do so? More importantly though then simply the religious aspects of circumcision the suggestion that circumcision is beneficial to health (as opposed to religion) as is brought up to try and legitimize the practice. The truth is that there is no proven benefit to health as a result f circumcision available anywhere in the world. All of the so-called benefits that are stated above are simply made up with no credible evidence. Google the following phrase to gain a better insight into the harm done by circumcision

Google "Circumcision Information Resource Center" In conclusion any person that loves their child and wishes the best for it should not allow themselves to be intimidated by an ancient tradition or in the case of non-religious circumcision. Misinformation by licensed snake oil sales men into permitting their child to be irreparably mutilated. The Jew does not need to mutilate their infant's genitals as the infant can do so when he reaches the age of majority and can make informed decisions about his own body. The reasoning that he must be circumcised at 8 day does not hold up because there is an exemption relating to danger to health. Considering all of the cons regarding circumcision the danger to health including life and limb as well as psychological is very real and palpable. And any decision regarding the integrity of on individual's healthy penis and mind should not be forced upon them. By all means make the child a part of a tradition accepting him and welcoming him into family, the religious instruction and non-invasive tradition of religion however blood rituals that involve mutilating body parts Must be left to the individual involved. The medical and traditional wisdom of the world stands behind the physical integrity of the child and indeed the adult as well. The foreskin is a functioning and important part of the male anatomy and the amputation of it when it is healthy is a perversion that should be stamped out with the same fervor as is the case with Female genital mutilation

Why do Muslims cut his upper part of penis?

User Avatar

Asked by Wiki User

Because it has become a religiously enforced cultural tradition. There is no need for any gentile to be circumcised as a mater of fact Mohammad was never circumcised This tradition was started later at the behest of Islam scholars. The custom is harmful from both a physical and psicolgical point of view. The tradition was probably begun to differentiate Muslims from others like Christians who do not circumcise..

What are the different forms that male and female circumcision take?

User Avatar

Asked by Wiki User

In male circumcision the foreskin is cut off. Some practitioners also make a point to cut off the frenulum, the very sensitive small band of skin that connects the bottom of the glans to the skin of the penis. Circumcision dramatically reduces the sensitivity of the penis and reduces pleasure during sex. The foreskin also slides up and down the penis allowing the male to masturbate. Removal of the foreskin makes it difficult for the male to masturbate. Male circumicision was introduced into the United Kingdom and the United States in the 19th century as an effort to keep boys from being able to masturbate easily.

In female circumcision, the labia minora and the clitoris are usually cut off. As with male circumcision, the procedure removes the parts of the genitals that can provide pleasure during sexual activity and masturbation. In many cultures, the objective of female circumcision is to make sure that the victim is unable to have orgasms or experience sexual pleasure.

Circumcision is painful and only necessary if you don't wash very often, so its understandable why the tradition started among the Jews and Muslims in the desert - there was just not enough water there to keep it clean. However in a developed society damaging the penis by chopping of an important part of it is ill advised and any responsible doctor will try to talk you out of it.

Does medicaid in NC cover infant circumcision?

User Avatar

Asked by Wiki User

Don't take this as definitive information; you must contact Medicaid in Florida for the absolute accurate information. But in general, medical plans do not cover routine circumcision. This is because medical plan administrators understand that routine circumcision is elective and cosmetic in nature. It is likely to be different if there is some medical indication that infant circumcision is necessary. Hygiene is often cited as a justification for circumcision, but intact men can and do learn to care for themselves adequately.

I am not a medical doctor, but I wouldn't take one doctor's opinion that there is a medical indication for the procedure. A condition known as physiological phimosis (the simple presence of a foreskin that does not retract, where the condition is part of normal development and not indicative of a medical problem) exists for virtually every newborn male. This is normal and expected, and many physicians consider physiological phimosis to be normal even as late as puberty. Pathological phimosis, the same condition as stated above but with the complication that it is causing a medical problem, cannot be diagnosed at birth for a normal healthy newborn, since it is not expected that a newborn boy will have a fully separated foreskin in the first place. When phimosis hasn't corrected itself naturally in an older boy or young man, where retraction of the foreskin is painful or cannot happen at all, then there may be other treatments to consider before going with surgery. If all other options have failed or have been ruled out, then by all means a clear medical indication would lead one to opt for circumcision.

If you are considering circumcision as an option simply because it is frequently done, please take time to study about it, its actual benefits and possible negative outcomes. Perhaps the boy will later appreciate having been given the chance to choose for himself whether or not he wants healthy and functioning tissue removed from his penis for cosmetic benefit. Routine circumcision in the US in declining year after year as many think it should. There is some strength to the argument that we should be allowed to keep the bodies we are born with, excluding medical necessity.

Circumcision has risks of adverse medical events including surgical error, severe pain, infection, and prolonged bleeding. There will be pain following the surgery, which can range from moderate to severe. Any erections in the first week following surgery can be very painful, and men will usually need to abstain from sexual activity (including masturbation) for a period of at least three weeks.

Isn't the risk of infection and disease lower in circumcised men?

The intact penis is at no greater risk of infection then the circumcised penis. There is no evidence that it is. and that is probably one of the reasons why all medical advice is against circumcision.

Why did Eddie try and prevent Kenny's Circumcision on Til Death?

User Avatar

Asked by Wiki User

Kenny was getting circumcised as a nice thing for his new girlfriend.

Eddie's girlfriend Joy became aware of it and was impressed that Kenny would do that for his girlfriend. She took the view that Eddie should also do nice things for her if Kenny showing that type of dedication to a new girlfriend. She demanded that he take her out to musicals.

Eddie didn't want to have to go to the trouble of taking his girlfriend out to musicals and therefore tried to talk Kenny out of it so that his girlfriend couldn't use that as a reason to get him to do things for her.

He took Kenny to watch a circumcision operation based on the commonly held belief that watching the actual blood and gore of any type of operation is a sure way to discourage people from having the same type of operation.

Why get circumsized?

User Avatar

Asked by Wiki User

there is in reality no good reason to get circumcised. the reasons that are stated are they are done for religious reasons such as that done by the Jews, fur cultural reasons as in the Muslims it is also done for celebrating the onset of manhood a right of passage tradition. In English speaking society's a tradition has begun that now persists mainly in the united states where many claims are made that there are health benefits to the procedure. a claim that fly's in the face of every European country medical fraternity and most of the rest of the world. so keeping this in mind one would be reasonable in presuming that there is no sensible reason for being circumcised and that it is in fact harmful and in the case of children in fact a violation of human rights. he same human rights that protect women from being genitally mutilated.

Do they numb you during your circumcision?

User Avatar

Physicians disagree about the use of anaesthesia during circumcisions. Before the mid 1980s, anaesthesia was not used because the US medical community refused to admit there was pain involved. This opinion has changed, however an aesthetic still is not always used due to a lack of experience with its use, as well as the belief that it introduces additional risks. Even though there is indication that the risk is minimal; some physicians who perform circumcisions do not use anaesthetics even after they received training. When an aesthetic is used, it only partially relieves some of the pain, and its effect diminishes before the post-operative pain does. The most effective form of aesthetic involves injections into the penis which is in it a grossly painful experience. If you would like to see more information on this subject perhaps the related link below (Infant Responses to Circumcision) wil be helpfull

Yes. If you are a baby you will get one of a number of anesthetics. Almost all physicians will use lidocaine injections in one of two methods, either a dorsal penile block, anesthetizing the nerves inervating the penis or a ring block, anesthetizing the whole base of the penis. We also give babies sugar water to suck while we do the procedure, this acts on some of the babies central pain receptors. This works because their nervous system is not fully matured and so it is like a very magnified euphoria any of us get when we eat sweets. If you are an adult being circumcised you will get much more anesthetic. But I am not a urologist, so I don't know the details. I do not know what is done during religious ceremonies

When will your penis change from uncircumcised to circumcised?

User Avatar

Asked by Wiki User

Circumcision is a surgery during which part of the skin of the penis, called the foreskin, is cut off of the penis. This will make a penis circumcised.

In the case of some individuals, the onset of puberty might make one become naturally circumcised where hormonal changes trigger the growth of the head of the penis at a faster rate than the foreskin. The foreskin shortens and the head would be partially or fully exposed in the process.
