Does standing on cockroaches spread their eggs?

Yes you can step on cockroaches, but there is a chance that the eggs will hatch.

Roach eggs hatch in about 4 weeks, so if you find a roach, which has eggs in it, you'll flatten and kill the eggs as well, the only time when they survive is when they are about to hatch, that's when they survive, and that's how the "if you step on a cockroach you'll get eggs on your shoes" fable started.

How do you attract cockroaches?

There are several ways that they come into the home--they are not always there because of the eggs that were laid. 1)They will come in when it rains--especially if your city or county does not spray the sewers. 2)They may have infested a house nearby while it was empty and when people moved in, they simply moved into yours. 3)If your previous home had problems, you may have brought them with you in boxes and paper bags 3)You need to have pest extermination so that they do not reproduce. If you find that when you turn on the light at night that there are some on your counters, you'll need help. Clean out your cupboards thoroughly (empty; wash out and check upper parts for egg cases (yech) and clear any and all clutter before the "bug man" comes.

How do you terminate cockroaches in your house?

First off you will need to identify the type of cockroach you have. You can go to google and search images to see what kind you have. Get to know the characteristics of the bug, find out what they are eating and stop the free loaders. You will need a flash light and when night falls you should do a good inspection on the interior of the structure. Get on your hands and knees and look in every corner and every open areas (such as where the cabinets meet the wall) if you see them use caulk to seal them in. You should still better yet get some kind of bait OTC and inject it in the area and then seal it. Check all your weather stripping around your doors and windows, the idea is to find out how the pest is getting in. Reduce the supply of water on the exterior. At night time do an inspection on the exterior with a flash light. I would try this first, if you can't find any thing of the before mentioned then you will need to call a pest pro.
