It is on the continent of Asia.

mostly in Mozambique, South East of Africa

Casting a mental eye around the globe, I come up with North America, Australia, and Antarctica (which has no countries at all, only territorial claims).

The United Kingdom is in Europe.

The continents near the equator tend to be hotter due to their proximity to the sun. Africa, South America, and Asia are some of the hottest continents in the world. These continents experience higher temperatures and often have tropical climates.

The seven continents in the world are: Asia, Africa, North America, South America, Antarctica, Europe and Australia. The continents covers one third of the world area.

Asia has the majority of the Seven Wonders of the World, with three out of the Seven Wonders located in different countries across the continent.

The Philippines are a group of Islands in the Pacific Ocean. They are part of the Asian continent. There are only 7 continents, not 10. And there are no continents that are actually "in" anything.

There are actually a total of 4 transcontinental cities. The largest and most known would of course be Istanbul, Turkey located in Europe and Asia. The others include Atyrau, Kazakhstan (Europe/Asia), Orenburg, Russia (Europe/Asia), and Suez, Egypt (Africa/Asia).

Continental drift is an ongoing process, so the arrangement of continents will continue to change over millions of years. One possible scenario is that the continents may merge into a supercontinent, similar to past supercontinents like Pangaea, before eventually breaking apart again due to tectonic plate movements.

Turkey is a country located in both Europe and Asia. It is mainly situated in the region known as Western Asia, also referred to as the Middle East, but part of its territory lies in southeastern Europe.

Greenland is an island, and the world's largest island.

Geographically, Australia is a continent, not an island. As a landform, it could be considered an island as it is entirely surrounded by water and not joined onto any other land mass. For this reason, it is often referred to as an island continent. Australia is too big to be formally classified as an island. The world's largest island is Greenland.

Another reason why Australia is a continent is because it sits on its own tectonic plate. This is different from Greenland, which uses the same land mass as North America. That is why the geological appearances are much different in Australia from anywhere else. A place like Greenland shares the same geologic attributes as North America.

North America is often considered the continent with the highest obesity rates. The United States, Canada, and Mexico have some of the highest obesity levels globally, contributing to North America being identified as the "fattest" continent.

Santo Domingo is in the continent of North America.

An island is classified a continent for two main reasons:

1. it is too large to be considered an island.

2. It sits on its own tectonic plate.

Examples are Australia, the world's smallest content, and Greenland, the world's largest island. Geographically, Australia is a continent, not an island. Countries are sovereign states with defined borders and their own government system. Examples of countries include the United States, Brazil, France, China, Kenya, Australia, and Iceland.

They are not part of any continent.

Geographically they would come under Oceania.

However, there are only four continents in a geographical sense. See, a continent is defined as a single large continuous landmass. The continents listed above are not all single landmasses, as some are connected. The absolute single landmasses are:

Australia

Europe and Asia share six nations, so in reality, there are only 93 countries between the two continents.

South America and Africa are considered mirror images of each other due to their similar shapes and positions. This resemblance is due to the theory of plate tectonics and the separation of the two continents from the supercontinent Pangaea.

A continent is a large expansion of land. There are seven continents in the world: Antarctica, Asia, North America, South America, Europe, Africa, and Australia.

The second closest continent to Antarctica is South America. It is located across the Southern Ocean, with the closest point being the tip of the Antarctic Peninsula and the southernmost part of South America.

The answer really depends on the definition of sub-continent, but the most common answers are:

The Indian sub-Continent which is crashing into Asia building the Himalayas and still growing at the rate of 3-5 cm a year.

The islands of New Zealand considered part of Australia, but really on a different plate.

Madagascar considered to be part of Africa, but on a different plate.

and Greenland which is generally considered part of North America.

Some may consider the Arabian Peninsula to be a sub-continent as the African and Asian plates tear apart.
