Dentist tell you to take ibuprofen naproxen together for a short duration it is supposed to give the same effect of Vicodin without the narcotic effect How can you say no when Doctors say yes?

Ibuprofen and Naproxen are the same thing, both an hormonal, anti inflammatory and are the same active drug but in a slightly different form Naproxen being moderately stronger. Vicodin has AP in it generally in the 320-750 range which is very similar to the active In Naproxen, but it has Hydrocodon which is the narcotic, which is an opiate and a strong one at that, this giving the "narcotic Affect". You will not have similar affects taking The two together any where near Vicodin, and i would be very careful with taking them together low dosages 500 Naproxen and 400-600 Ibuprofen is the max and defiantly not good for your stomach make sure you take food to reduce damage.

You think you have a wisdom tooth infection your face is swollen and you have a funky taste and fluid near the impacted tooth Should you go to a med center or wait until you see a dentist in 2 weeks?

Going to a med center didn't do me any good, and it was expensive, too! The physician in charge tried to find a 24 hour dental emergency clinic, but there wasn't one in my city. He said he couldn't treat dental emergencies, not even with antibiotics.

I would go to the hospital emergency room and get an emergency slip to see the dentist in the hospital. the dental would take you right away.

If the gum around one a wisdom tooth is a little loose but the wisdom teeth otherwise seem perfectly fine what should be done about it?

Quite often, a piece of gum tissue overlies the wisdom tooth which is partially through. Keep the area as clean as possible, otherwise attend your dental checkups as recommended so your dentist can keep it under observation. If the loose gum is causing you pain or severe irritation, then the wisdom tooth may need to come out, but it sounds unlikely from what you describe. There is no need to have wisdom teeth removed, unless they are causing problems such as pain, swelling, infection, decay in the tooth in front etc. Very often, the risks of wisdom tooth removal outweigh the benefits. Sometimes a wisdom tooth does not erupt completely, and creates an extension of gum called operculum. While eating and chewing on food, this operculum can be irritated and infected causing a pericoronitis. This condition has signs of intense pain, redness, a bad smell and a difficulty of opening the mouth. If the operculum does not go away, it is advised to extract the wisdom tooth to prevent complications of the pericoronitis. Under certain conditions, if the wisdom tooth has erupted, but an operculum is still present, it is possible to make an operculectomy, which is the removal of the extension of the gum itself without extracting the tooth.

If I just had my lower wisdom teeth pulled about 5 hours ago and just attempted to eat yogurt but the pain is excruciating How long will it be before I can eat again?

o this is easy i got mine pulled out too! But watch out what you eat. That day i only ate twice and that was soup and spahetti (about enough to fit a palm),clue is here is that i swallowed, didn't chew.Don't trie anything cold or too hot .Once your bleeding stops its okay to eat.But just in cause, i recemend you don't eat til three hours after surgery. My opointment was a 7:30 i couldn't eat after 12:00 the day before but i fell asleep at 9:00 so i didn't eat til 9:54 the day of the appointment surgery last an hour and a half .i didn't eat cause i was bleeding ,in pain, discomfort and plus i had an iv so it lasted me longer. And i hope you feel better afterward.

The worst part, where you can barely even swallow liquids, and you can't smoke cigarettes, lasts at least a couple of days. The bottom teeth are definitely the worst. If and when you have the upper ones removed, it'll be a lot easier. I actually went out to a concert and danced the same night. Well, only a little bit. But, anyway, when I had the bottom one removed (just one) I really couldn't eat anything for 2 days -- I couldn't move for 2 days -- and I couldn't even begin to chew properly for like, a week. So if you've had both removed...you might not be able to eat anything solid for 3 or 4 days. There's not much you can do, except keep using ice and keep changing the bloody gauze. And pain pills. Lots of pain pills. I just hope the last wisdom tooth I have stays deeply embedded, because I just can't stand the thought of going through it again.

Also...even when you can eat again, it's still really painful. You can only chew very gently and slowly, and it still hurts anyway, and then you'll accidentally chew wrong, and hit the extraction site, and it then it really, really hurts. I'm sorry.

Can alcoholic cause toothache?

Do you really get buck teeth by sucking your thumb?

Depending on the frequency, duration, angle of the thumb and sucking force, thumb sucking may or may not have an affect on one's occlusion. Usually, it doesn't, especially if one stops prior to obtaining one's adult teeth. When it does have an affect it's usually an open bite with, perhaps, a cross bite. An open bite is defined by the upper and lower teeth not coming together when the mouth is in a closed position and occurs when the thumb prevents the normal growth of the teeth as they project outside the gums as they occlude. A cross bite is defined by the upper teeth resting inside the arc formed by the lower teeth and occurs, in the thumb sucker, due to the inner force the cheeks exert during sucking motions. If "buck teeth" (A Class 2, division 1 maloclussion) does form, however, it may occur due to genetic factors and/or the action of the lips and tongue while swallowing, where the upper teeth may have been placed in a way that results in the lips and tongue exerting a forward and upward force thus exaggerating the maloclusion.

I got my wisdom teeth out about a week ago and when i am done brushing my teeth i rinse my mouth with water and when i tilt my head forward the water leaks out my nose too what should i do?

I got my teeth pulled this week and I recall my oral surgeon telling me during the consultation that there is a chance that if your upper wisdom teeth are pulled that fluid can get up in your sinuses and mess you up a little. Definitely call your oral surgeon's office immediately and find out from them what you should do.

What do you do in the case of an adult tooth growing in behind the baby tooth before it has fallen out?

Most of the time the baby tooth will fall out eventually. If it doesn't seem to be getting loose, it should be removed by a dentist so it doesn't cause adult teeth to be crowded or crooked.

How do you answer your own performance evaluation?

It is very important for a man to know who they are. They must be very objective in evaluating their performances. Likewise, they should know their capabilities and weaknesses, their consciousness and unconsciousness and their likes and dislikes. They should rate their self honestly.

Although, there are times that you still don't know the way you are. In Psychology, you are still looking forward on how you will act in the environment. So, it is very important to start asking and observing your doings so you will know the real you.

How do you find a retired Dentist's old company name with only an address?

Without knowing which area the retired dentist worked it isn't possible to suggest specific contacts.

It sounds as though you don't know the dentist's name, but there will be a dentists' association in your area; their records are sure to be electronically stored, so they should be able to retrieve the old company name from just an address.

Of course, if another dentist, or other business, is operating at the old address you could ask them or, failing that, get from them the name of the firm leasing out the premises: their old records should have the data.

Local government authority records will also show the information you need.

Have ready as much detail as you know before you contact anyone to ask for information. The amount of assistance you'll get depends on the individual, and how busy they are at the time. If you can quickly give as much data as possible they might be inclined to be more helpful.

Of course, if you live nearby, you could also try asking neighbours of the address in question whether they remember the previous business and its name.

What are the sideffect of wisdome teeth being pulled?

Paresthesia or temporary numbness because of nerve damage. I had one wisdom tooth pulled out two weeks ago and my lower lip, chin, gums and face are still numb. I am also having constant headaches since then. The dentist said that could really happen and there is nothing they can do about it. They said the nerve will heal itself depending on how your body acts to it, it could take weeks, months or even years. And there is a very little chance that it could be permananent. So if you are planning to have your wisdom tooth removed, think about it, discuss it thoroughly with your dentist or oral surgeon. This is the worst thing that ever happen to me.

Are your sinuses affected by wisdom teeth removal?

Your sinuses will only be affected if something were to go wrong during the extraction. When top wisdom teeth are extracted, there is a very slim chance of a tool puncturing your sinuses. The swelling after the procedure does not (should not) affect breathing either.

You got your wisdom teeth removed 10 days ago should you still be having pain the pain is so bad it makes you cry What is wrong?

You are probably experiencing what is known as a "dry socket". It is a fairly common complication and it is extremely painful. The good news is that if you return to the dentist who performed the extractions, he/she can easily treat this condition, and it will be a no additional charge.

What does dentist put in tooth extraction prior to stitches?

Just got it done on a tooth that's been broken for over 3 years.

He took a ground up tooth, which is treated to bond with itself, and filled it into the opening where the old tooth was. This keeps a solid substructure for your tooth so if you want to get an implant later on there is something to implant into. Otherwise you just have gums.
