Is there anything that's says not to get a piercing so soon after surgery I'm getting my wisdom teeth out six days before i want to get my nose pierced is there anything that says that?

Well there is nothing that says directly that you cant get a piercing after surgery however consider this, you are going to put your body thru a great deal of trauma with the wisdom extraction. You will not feel it due to the drugs you will be given but trust me you will be taxing your bodies immune system and that is not a good time to get a nostril piercing. Give yourself at least 5 days post surgery before getting you nose done, this should, with rest and a good diet between extraction and nostril piercing, give your body a chance to get things in check and stay on top of what it has to deal with. There are a lot of professional body piercers who wont provide a service to you if you have just under gone a heavy procedure like a wisdom tooth extraction, so give yourself and your body a break between procedures Your piercing and your body will love you for it.

How do you make your wisdom teeth grow straight when there is no second molar?

Unfortunately, there is no way to "make" your wisdom teeth grow in straight. If your other teeth are straight, then they may grow in straight. If you have a tendency towards crooked teeth, they they may grow crooked too. The good news is that not everyone has to have them removed if they grow in crooked. If there is sufficient room and they will not cause problems with the other teeth, they may not have to be removed. With no 2nd molar, there might be enough room that they do not have to be removed. The best person to make this determination is your dentist.

What is an out of network dentist?

When you are in a Dental HMO or a Dental PPO, there is a network of approved dentists. The list is usually available on your company's website; many times searchable by zip code for the nearest to your location. In a Dental HMO you have to go to a dentist on the list for services to be covered. In a Dental PPO, you can go to a dentist that is not on the list. A dentist not on the list is "out-of-network." When you go to an "out-of-network" dentist the costs that you pay yourself will be higher for two reasons. The Dental PPO has arranged discounts with dentists on the list, i.e. in the network, so the percentage you pay is of a lower or discounted amount. The out-of-network dentist can charge their full fee. Second, the percentage covered is less. Typically for prevention--like an office visit and cleanings--the DPPO pays 100%, but they may only pay 80% of . For basic procedures like fillings--the DPPO pays 80%; but only 60% of the "out-of-network" dentist's fee. Evelyn F. Ireland, CAE; Executive Director National Association of Dental Plans

Can your ear bleed after getting work done at the dentist?

My ear bled today after having a wisdom tooth pulled. I'm assuming it's because the ears nose and throat are connected and it's residual blood from the gum.

Do all dentists use cold water to clean your teeth?

Two answers found: 1) Dentists use cold water when removing old amalgams so that the mercury vapor and particles so released do not enter the surrounding environment. Cold water is used because warm and hot water causes humidity which carries the mercury particulates in the air. This is not desirable and may have health effects on the patient or dental staff. 2) In general, washing the mouth frequently with cold water strengthens the gums. The contraction of the gums from cold water forms a good bond around the teeth. Warm or hot water causes expansion of the gum tissue. This is not desirable for the majority, if not all, of dental work. One exception found: warm salt water rinses are advisable at times. The warm water expands the gums and lets the salt do its work. Added 8/02/07 : My dentist also explained that the network of tubes used to carry the warmer water used to harbor bacteria and foster it's growth until the change was made to use cold water in those lines to inhibit much of that growth and that it requires less manual or chemical cleaning.

Should I be concerned if my dentist has llc after his name?

"LLC" or "llc" means "limited liability company". It is applied to a virtual person a "company or business". Say you dentist was called "Jones" then he could set up a company called "Jones dental practice" and if his practice was set up as a limited liability company, "llc" should be add after the name of the practice.

However if your dentist is using "llc" after their name as a qualification, this is meaningless and if your dentist has no other qualifications then I would suggest you should be concerned - do not go there and ask the authorities in your country to investigate the dentist.
