The flag of Great Britain is also known as the King's Colours. It consists of red, white, and blue horizontal, vertical, and diagonal lines. The design dates back to the early 17th century.

Gold, royal colours such as red also represent glory. It is really a matter of opinion.

The yellow on the flag of Ecuador represents warmth, nobility, and light, as well as crops and fertile soil.

This is actually the the confederate battle flag. The "crossed stars" is still incorporated in flags of a few southern states (Georgia and Mississippi maybe more). The official flag of the Confederate states of America changed many times in its short life. The Stars and Bars is the a common nickname, but this is the name of the actual confederate flag that did not have the crossed star pattern at all. The "crossed stars" design is sometimes called the "rebel," "southern cross" or "Dixie" flag. The final official flag of the confederate states, "The Bloodstained Banner," did have the "crossed star" design in the upper right corner.

Red, white, and green are the colors of the national liberation army in Mexico. The central emblem is the Mexican coat of arms, based on the Aztec symbol for Tenochtitlan (now Mexico City), the center of the Aztec empire.

The blue stands for the Red sea, the blood stand for the blood that was lost in the 30 years war against Ethiopia, the green stands for the vegetation/food, and last the yellow stands for the gold and other minerals that the country has.
