I was in a relationship for 4 years and last year decided to end the relationship. We have remained close friends and there is no bad blood or awkwardness. This is how I broke up with him and how we remained friends.

I broke up with 'Roger' (Name changed) face to face. This is the only way to do it to ever have a civil future. I was straight to the point yet sensitive. This is the script you should follow.

ok come on give guys a little credit, sometimes they genuiney want to just hang out with chicks, I know plenty of guys that are able to come over to my house, my room and sit on my bed without wanting or even hinting at sex, and also if you're so convinced he wants sex think about a) respect for your parents: do you think you're parents would care if you had sex with a guy in their house, my parents certainly would b) are you dating him? c) do you actually like him? d) does it feel natural? e) and does he respect ou and your needs?

Spend some time away from them and start withdrawing from them. It will only intensify the hurt and awkwardness if you stick around and act like nothings happened. Start looking for someone new however insane or difficult it might seem right now. Think of yourself from now on because you need to find someone new to love. Your best friend if they care about you will understand your need for time alone to recover and get over this attraction and if you do that in time you may be able to pick up the friendship again sometime in the future.

That is a very tough situation...but you know what...things like this happen all the time. If your boyfriend is so much of a pig...to ditch you and take your best friend, they both lost something really important...you. And your best friend should have known better, and if she really was your best friend she would forget about the boy and kept you...cause 1 guy is not worth it.

Just remember don't make it into a big thing and don't get anyone else involved in the argument. True friends can fall out but they always make up. If you're friend doesn't want to make up then just leave her for a while to cool and to release her anger. Try to be a good friend! :)
