Today in a cliff/cave in central Texas, we saw what appeared to be a chunk of bear fur stuck to the ceiling of the cave, but much finer looking fur. It was an 18 inch diameter nest of daddy longlegs!! I wish I had taken a pic, because I'm finding none on the web that do it justice!

It was SOLID Brown, it must have been a million of them. (Or 250,000 times Legs!) At first we thought the knee joints (which are lighter in color) were bugs. We blew on it, and it started moving, which we thought was the smaller 'bugs' eating/disturbing them.

What a surprise when one of them crawled out and we could then see what they all were. It was awesome!

SO.... They seemed content to just hang out. It was a sweltering 101 and mid day. Not sure what they do when. Hope this helps those of you wondering!

I think i have same type, all ready bit an inch, like small 8 yellow spots on her tail 2x4, and yellow strips on legs, when they are small you shouldn't touch them i heard because of their hair, it's venomous it may cause small skin infection and it's itches... aggressive? hmm i don't know for sure, the guy who sold me he said no, but spiders are aggressive when they aren't feeling save so they bite.

Tarantulas have gently body even if it looks cool holding it, i suggest more only looking :)
