Our involvement in Korea was not a war. It was a Conflict. Money stopped it. The Korean War "stopped" due to an armistice (cease-fire agreement) signed by representatives of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, the People's Republic of China, the Soviet Union and the United States. The armistice was signed on July 27, 1953 at Panmunjom, North Korea. Technically the war is not over as there has never been a peace treaty signed.

Zhou En-lai (周恩来 in Chinese) was the Prime Minister of the People's Republic of China during the Korean War.

his sister in law vivienne Scott and her husband Lawrence melville had a son L Scott Melville who became an attorney and then a judge in Connecticut. the Scott sisters (3)were founding members of the black social organization the "gay northeasterners" in the 1920's of 30's which is still in existence. the word gay was dropped in the 1970"s.

In the city, there mostly apartments, because they hav many people, but not enough land. It's very nice, and the floors r mostly wooden and clean. But if u go deep deep into the country, they do hav town homes.

The Korean War was fought during the Cold War era from 1950 to 1953. It was frustrating for American because they did not achieve a complete victory as in previous wars, such as WW1 and WWII. The war was ended through an armistice that established the demilitarized zone between North and South Korea.

Yes. They have won a lot. We have actually won almost all of them. In the Vietnam war we had to fall back, though.

Vietnam Vets - Thank you .. and PLEASE .. feel free to correct me.. like I state.. I am only a history buff. Strictly from a historian's viewpoint ~ more horrible and intense than anyone not experiencing combat can imagine. The enemy was underground or hidden in heavy vegetation shooting at them til there was no one left or they chose to leave. The enemy was man, woman, elder and child. The bombings took place in the bush, on the base and in the markets in town. And IF they survived their tour, they returned to a country that alternated from supporting them to hating them. Reports of the Mai Lai massacre and various other accidents or bad choices were televised and the actions of few were automatically attatched to all who participated whether they behaved honorably or not. Rotten food, feces, and insults were hurled at them as the disembarked from their trips in airports. The horror of the battles followed them home, the disgraceful behavior of the public shamed those that did their duty and served. Now they STILL live in the shadow of those experiences and we have a long way to go to prove we truly appreciate their service. Some will never understand that we behaved poorly and that they are appreciated.

Korean and japan did not fight each other.They fought with the White supremacy.

The Korean war (June 25, 1950 - July 27, 1953) spanned the administrations of two Presidents of the United States. Harry Truman (April 12, 1945 - January 20, 1953) and Dwight D. Eisenhower (January 20, 1953 - January 20, 1961)

Limited to the use of conventional weapons only; NO NUKES. Limited to fighting only in South Vietnam on the ground; Limited to bombing North Vietnam, but no ground fighting (no invasion). Korea was also a limited war. Limited conventional weapons only; NO NUKES. However, North Korea was invaded by ground forces; and Red China entered the war. Consequently, we didn't invade North VIETNAM for that war, because we didn't want a repeat of a Red Chinese entry into the war.

The Korean War began in 1950, approximately 5 years after World War II ended (August 14, 1945, officially on September 2, 1945).

Truman removed General MacArthur from command due to a disagreement between them over the use of Nuclear Weapons on China after China attacked the UN Army in North Korea. The debate became too public and Truman had to assert his position as Commander in Chief.

Football is the main sport in North Korea. The DPRK has been in the World Cup including this year and is a highly respected team. The DPRK is also home to many international home games and the largest stadium in the world, The May Day Stadium. It is popular among the youth and the old in North Korea.

While Stalin's death and the "end" of the Korean war both happened in 1953, the two events are not strongly related. The Korean war was between the South Koreans acting as an agent of the United States and the North Koreans acting as an agent of The Peoples Republic of China. Russia had no role.
