What does mri results that say the distal cord and conus are grossly intact?
MRI results indicating that the distal cord and conus are grossly intact suggest that there are no significant abnormalities, lesions, or damage observed in these areas of the spinal cord. This typically means that the structure and integrity of the spinal cord are preserved, which is a positive finding. However, further clinical correlation is often necessary to evaluate symptoms or conditions that may not be visible on imaging.
Can you still get an mri if your knee is swollen?
Yes, you can still get an MRI if your knee is swollen. Swelling may affect the quality of the images, but it doesn't typically prevent the procedure from being performed. It's important to inform the healthcare provider about the swelling, as they might adjust the imaging protocols or interpret the results with that context in mind. Always follow your doctor's recommendations regarding imaging and treatment.
Can groin strain show up on hip MRI?
Yes, a groin strain can sometimes be visible on a hip MRI, particularly if there is associated swelling or injury to the muscles or tendons around the hip joint. The MRI can help identify any soft tissue damage or inflammation in the groin area. However, the primary focus of the MRI is typically the hip joint and surrounding structures, so the visibility of a groin strain may depend on its severity and location.
Can mri test be used to know someones age?
MRI tests cannot directly determine a person's age, but they can provide insights into age-related changes in tissues and organs. For example, certain characteristics in brain structure may correlate with aging. However, these findings are not precise enough to accurately determine age and are influenced by various factors such as genetics and health conditions. Thus, while MRI can reflect age-related changes, it cannot provide a definitive age measurement.
What machine picks up brainwaves?

This is probably muscle pain. The way to diagnose this is IF twisting, turning, bending, reaching up causes the pain to appear, then the most-likely answer is muscle pain. I use a Homedic massager (Walmart: around $35.00) to the area a couple of times a day. The machine shuts off in 15 minutes so you won't damage the instrument... If this action (twisting, etc) does NOT aggravate --or cause-- the pain, then other things need to be evaluated... If it is about the belly-button level (in the back, of course) then the kidneys need to be checked. If it is in line with your underarm area, then it could be a (very rare) hernia. Hope this helps.
