Any tornado is bad to the people it hits. However, major tornadoes can and have occurred in Ohio. One of the most recent was an EF4 that hit the town of Millbury, southeast of Toledo, on June 5, 2010, killing 7 people. Ohio also experience the worst tornado of the Super Outbreak of 1974 when an F5 devastated the city of Xenia, killing at least 32 people. Ohio also hard hit by the Palm Sunday outbreak of 1965 and the Flint/Worcester outbreak of 1953. The deadliest tornado in Ohio history was an F4 that struck the cities of Loraine and Sandusky on June 28, 1924, killing 85 people. It ranks as one of the 25 deadliest tornadoes in U.S. history.

The Ohio River flows east to west at Cincinnati's southern border with Bromley, Ludlow, Covington, Newport, Dayton and Ft. Thomas, Kentucky on the other side of the river.
