The typical "nuclear" family of the 50's has gone the way of the DoDo bird, and yes, families are now scattered to the four winds, it seems. Generational differences, technology, geographic location, finances, even religion can, and have all played a part in this evoloutionary process. I'm not sure from your question if you feel that this is a negative or a positive outcome? For me, it has it's benefits. But to bring families closer, we would need to address so many different aspects of modern day lifestyles, that I fear there is not enough room here to discuss it. Well it depends on your body type, your genes, etc. but in many cases you may need to either lose weight or work out and tone your body, things along those lines. It could also be that you will become more handsome as you get older. Remember, the ugly duckling turned into the swan! Also, don't sell yourself short. My boyfriend says that that he feels like I am never serious and that our relationship isn't serious either, although he hates to talk about things like our post-secondary/ career goals.
