G-mail offers its own effective spam filter for handling spam email. They pick out messages that are potentially unwanted and direct them to the spam folder instead of directly going straight to your email folder.

If you're referring to spam in your e-mail, I highly recommend Mozilla Thunderbird. It has a built in spam filter and you can specify that certain senders be marked as spam.

A spam filter can be very important as it goes through incoming and outgoing emails to determine if they are spam, spam has the potential to put your computer at risk. emails could have malicious content unwanted information or scams which can be removed or deleted with the aid of a filter.

The entity you report the scam to depends on the details of the scam, where you live, and where the scammer is operating from. In some cases, there may be more than one agency to report it to.

In the USA, a catch-all for bringing internet scams to the attention of the FBI and FTC is the U.S. government's Internet Crime Complaint Center (IC3) although you can report it directly to the local FBI office or the Federal Trade Commission (FTC). If the scammer is in the same jurisdiction as the victim, they can report it to the local police and/or the Better Business bureau.

You can check for a physical address of the company, a disclaimer that it is indeed advertisement, and an option to unsubscribe. If an email is about a specific transaction you've already started with a company, such as a sale or payment, it is not spam.

You can identify spam email by seeing if it conforms to the CAN-SPAM act of 2013. This act applies to mass emails sent with advertisements or solicitations. If such an email does not give you the option to unsubscribe, lies about where it was sent from, does not give a physical address, and does not clearly say that it is an advertisement, it is spam.

'Pocodot' is SPAM... It has already been reported to the B.B.B and is currently facing multiple lawsuites having lost 5 already for it's online SPAM/SCAM activity. Where ever you see this 'Pocodot' name posted EPSECIALLY on YouTube, be sure to report it and instantly mark as SPAM.
