Ive read on so many websites that rubbing alcohol does not work for acne, but i am living proof that it can and does. My acne was horribly bad. Im 29 and still had the acne of a 15 year old. I got tired of the breakouts and the constant oiliness and so i started cleaning my face with face wash then i would scrub my face with alcohol then apply benzoyle peroxide. Now my face looks and feels alot better. So my vote? YES rubbing alcohol does work!

This won't work in a few hours, but it can help overnight. Wash your face with a warm washcloth and pat dry. Put a dab of any kind of toothpaste that is completely white, and dab the toothpaste onto the pimples. The toothpaste helps to dry blemishes so they either get smaller or disappear. If a pimple already has formed a "head", try using a warm compress --warm washcloth put over it for 15 minutes, then pat dry and try the toothpaste.

In the morning, remember to wash your face to remove any leftover toothpaste!

However! I need to say that even if the pimples do not disappear, you must remember that many teens experience break outs. Don't be embarrassed by it.

It depends on the cream. What are the ingredients? If it is Benadryl itch cream then no. That is just an antihistamine and it will make your acne stop itching but won't help it go away. If it is something like Cortaid that has hydrocortisone in it, then yes. That is a mild steroid and in addition to making your acne stop itching it will reduce the redness and swelling of the acne bumps. It's a nice fix but it isn't a good permanent solution because steroid creams over time can cause your skin to thin out and that's bad.

i have the same issue and almost everywhere i look says go to a dermatologist. meanwhile, make sure to wash your knees and exfoliate them every day in the shower, and pat them dry as to not spread any infection. if you don't want to show the acne in public, its fine to wear pants, but try something loose fitting. (weak knees are a great excuse to wear a knee brace if you want to cover up in hotter weather) when you're at home, wear shorts as to let the skin breathe and lessen the risk of worsening the acne. it is okay to pop any pimples, but only do so for those that have the white/yellow top. also, be sure to wash your knees after popping any because the puss that comes out of the pimple may spread and worsen the acne. if you're younger like myself (I'm 16), don't be afraid to tell your parents about it. i know it is very embarrassing, but you need professional help, they have to know. they'll understand that you need help and I'm sure your parents wouldn't make fun of you for some odd acne (which is surprisingly common especially among teenagers). i really hope i could help!!
