you download new codes using your PC that has downloaded the disc the action replay came with, to find new codes search on Google: action replay codes for [insert game name here]

Nothing,the codes just don't function. But I've studied these systems and it can make the action replay and the ds function slower or prevent it from accessing certain features.

Okay this hasn't happened to me because I wanted to get the badges normally but my guess is that if you have already fought the ice-type gym leader and they STILL won't let let you in, there is quite a big chance that you have =/

It means that, unlike some systems like the Game Cube/Wii, the ARDsi needs to be in the game slot the entire time for codes to be in effect. In the Gamecube and other such disk-based AR, only one disk could be in the console at a time (and it was configured to keep codes loaded after switching discs to the game disk to be played using the selected cheats. This was not possible with handheld systems since inserting/removing game catridges easily caused read errors and could damage saved data).

After you beat the game the option of the Pal Park is open and you can send Pokemon from GBA games to the Pal Pak. The Pokemon your sending should be holding the master ball when you send it. Be warned that Pokemon and master ball cant be transfered back.
