Do Islams believe in Adam and Eve?

Yes. He was the first man and he was a prophet. He commited a sin, but was forgiven; he ended up being granted blessings. He will return to Paradise when the time comes, but he will get everything he wants this time.

Was Lilith married to Adam before eve was created?

there is no record of a human lilith in the canonized bible we use today. however other texts like the life of adam and eve which was dismissed as a hypocrisy by the catholic church mention lilith being adam's first wife and the mother of all demons. however the only lilith mentioned in the canonized bible is a screech owl. the book that mentions lilith is called the life of adam and eve and is a apocryphal book of the bible. some of these books were widespread but the catholic church (creators of modern Christianity) thought that they were hypocrisies or too outrageous or incomplete to be included in the canonized bible (66 known and preserved books) some of them were only found after the cannon was completed or created after Christ's time.

Who told eve to eat the fruit?

Most likely, Adam.

The Bible indicates that God told ADAM about the Tree of Knowledge before Eve was created (Genesis 2:15-18,21+22). Adam was the family 'head' (1 Corinthians 11:3, 7-9/Ephesians 5:22+23/1 Timothy 2:11-14) and would therefore have the responsibility to care for and instruct his family in God's ways(1 Timothy 5:8) as demonstrated throughout the history of God's people (Genesis 18:19/Numbers 30:3-8). Eve clearly knew what God's command was regarding the Tree (Genesis 3:1-3) showing that she had been instructed well.

Why did God make Adam and Eve after creating man and woman on the sixth day?

Genesis chapters 1 and 2 are very confusing for most people and can seem to say that God created man (both male and female) of the sixth day, and only then created Adam, with Eve created even later. This can be understood better if you realise that there are actually two creation stories in Genesis. The first is in Genesis 1:1-2:4a and is attributed to an anonymous source now known as the Priestly Source, while the second is in Genesis 2:4b-25. The problem begins when readers, unwilling to accept that there can be disjunctions between the two creation stories, try to find ways to treat the two stories as one.

The story of Adam and Eve should be read quite separate from the previous creation story. In the first story, God created man and woman together on the sixth day, although it is unclear whether he created only one man and one woman, or a whole group of humans. In the second story, God began his creation with the creation of Adam and ended his creation with the creation of just one woman, Eve. Just as you should not think of the second creation story as some sort of summary of the first, do not think of the first creation story as preceding the second in time.

What texts talk about Lilith Adam'?

Lilith is not merely considered "Adam's first wife," but is referenced in a number of other sources. (See the Torah, Pentateuch and Talmud, for example.)

The text you're looking for, however, is the Alphabet of Ben Sira, which is considered the origin of the Lilith-as-first-woman created from male-female. In Genesis the first creation of man is in the likeness of God. He created Male and Female he created them in his own likeness. Genesis 1:27

This creation was not corporeal. The flesh of man was not created at this point. It even states this in the Bible. Adam is created separate from the first female in Genesis 2:7 and man became a living soul. This creation is formed from the dust of ground mixed with the mist that rose.

Out of the ground were created two trees. One good for food called "Tree of Life" and the other called "Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil". It also had food but was not to be eaten of. Therefore: Two males and two females were created. The first female is named Lilith. The second, Eve. The story of Lilith not wanting to lye beneath Adam is not correct. Makeing love has nothing to do with lying beneath.

Do a little home work for ones self. Find this truth for yourself. That is the most important thing in life. Deception has guided your innerself. The truth and light is yelling to break free.

What was the first animal named by Adam?

Either answer is possible from a biblical perspective, because there are two creation accounts in Genesis.

  • In the first account (Genesis 1:1-2:4a), animals were created first (Genesis1:20-25) and man (both male and female) was created in verse 26, although in this account Adam did not have a name.
  • In the second creation account (Genesis 2:4b-2:25), Adam was definitely first (Genesis 2:7,19).

Of course, it was different in the real world - humans were relatively late to evolve on earth.

Why did God ban Adam and Eve from the tree of life?

A:It is true that in the story of the Garden of Eden, Adam and Eve had disobeyed God and angered him, by eating the fruit of the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil. But the story does not say that God drove them out because he was angry, but because he had no other choice.

After Adam and Eve had eaten the fruit of the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil, they became like gods (Genesis 3:22: "And the LORD God said, Behold, the man is become as one of us..."), but had also become aware of their mortality. Knowing that they would now be tempted to eat the fruit of the Tree of Life, God drove them from the Garden of Eden and placed cherubim (sing: cherub) and a flaming sword at the entrance to keep [block] the way of the Tree of Life.

What would have happened if Adam and Eve didn't sin?

Eternal life in a paradise would have been the result of Adam and Eve not listening to the sinister serpent. Adam and Eve were promised immortality in an earthly paradise. They were told that they'd have neither if they ate of the forbidden fruit of the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil.

Did Adam tell eve not to eat off the tree of good and evil?

What day did God create day and night?

Genesis 1:14-19 says that God made the sun and the moon and the stars on the fourth day, and placed them in the firmament. The sun and the moon were to rule the day and the night respectively, but day and night had already been created.

Another thought might be:

Genesis 1:1 says : "In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth"...The heavens (sun, moon, stars, etc), including the planet earth, had been created long before, at an unspecified time.

Genesis 1:2 is talking about the time when God turned his attention to preparing the earth for habitation. At that time, the earth was still 'formless and waste'. Outer space and everything in it, including planet earth, had already been in existence 'from the beginning'.

The 'creative days' spoken of in the Bible at Genesis 1:3-31- are talking about the time spent specificallypreparing the EARTH for mankind.

When God first started creating things on earth, there was a 'swaddling band' or a heavy water-filled cloud all around the earth. We can see this by what happens at Genesis 1:6-8 where God seperates the cloud into water 'on the earth and water ABOVE the sky'...or 'heavens'.

So, at the time spoken of at Genesis 1:3 the thick cloud of water vapor, which had kept 'darkness on the surface of the earth', was thinning enough for light from the sun , moon and stars, to be seen from the surface of the earth. "Light came to be".

In verse 4, God sets the earth to rotating, creating night and day.

Later in vs 16, when the 'luminaries' are "made" it's important to note that the word used here is, infact, 'MADE', not 'created'. The word for MADE in Heb., wai·ya′‛as (from ‛a·sah′), is different from "create" (ba·ra'′) found in Genesis 1: 1, 21, 27 . The Sun and moon had been 'created' LONG before, when God created the heavens. On the first "day," the expression "Let light come to be" was used. The Hebrew word there used for "light" is 'ohr, meaning light in a general sense. But on the fourth "day," the Hebrew word changes to ma·'ohr′, which refers to a luminary or source of light. (Ge 1:14) So, on the first "day" diffused light evidently penetrated the swaddling bands, but the sources of that light could not have been seen by an earthly observer. By the fourth day, things had cleared up.

Who are the fundamentalists?

If you take the term literally,it refers to Christians who take the Bible for what it says without any fancy theories or' higher criticism' changing the original and most obvious meaning. There is no one religion that receives the tag ( although very often Baptists do ).Often, groups within a denomination can be termed 'fundamental' whereas others in the same one will not.
In most cases where the term 'fundamental' is used now,it has negative connotations attached to it.In other words,it's usually an insult.

What did god do when he found out that Adam and Eve had disobeyed them?

I'm pretty sure he kicked them out of the Garden of Eden. Because of their disobedience we all grow old and die. 9 And the LORD God called unto Adam, and said unto him, Where art thou? 10 And he said, I heard thy voice in the garden, and I was afraid, because I was naked; and I hid myself. 11 And he said, Who told thee that thou wast naked? Hast thou eaten of the tree, whereof I commanded thee that thou shouldest not eat? 12 And the man said, The woman whom thou gavest to be with me, she gave me of the tree, and I did eat. 13 And the LORD God said unto the woman, What is this that thou hast done? And the woman said, The serpent beguiled me, and I did eat. 14 And the LORD God said unto the serpent, Because thou hast done this, thou art cursedabove all cattle, and above every beast of the field; upon thy belly shalt thou go, and dust shalt thou eat all the days of thy life: 15 And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel. 16 Unto the woman he said, I will greatly multiply thy sorrow and thy conception; in sorrow thou shalt bring forth children; and thy desire shall be to thy husband, and he shall ruleover thee. 17 And unto Adam he said, Because thou hast hearkened unto the voice of thy wife, and hast eaten of the tree, of which I commanded thee, saying, Thou shalt not eat of it: cursed is the ground for thy sake; in sorrow shalt thou eat of it all the days of thy life; 18 Thorns also and thistles shall it bring forth to thee; and thou shalt eat the herb of the field; 19 In the sweat of thy face shalt thou eat bread, till thou return unto the ground; for out of it wast thou taken: for dust thou art, and unto dust shalt thou return. 20 And Adam called his wife's name Eve; because she was the mother of all living. 21 Unto Adam also and to his wife did the LORD God make coats of skins, and clothed them. 22 And the LORD God said, Behold, the man is become as one of us, to know good and evil: and now, lest he put forth his hand, and take also of the tree of life, and eat, and live for ever: 23 Therefore the LORD God sent him forth from the garden of Eden, to till the ground from whence he was taken. 24 So he drove out the man; and he placed at the east of the garden of Eden Cherubims, and a flaming sword which turned every way, to keep the way of the tree of life.

How does the sin of Adam and Eve affect people today?

Christians believe their first sin (eating the fruit from the forbidden tree) caused humans to experience pain and suffering, as well as being embarrassed by their naked forms, among other things.

What are opinions of whether evolution or the Adam and Eve thing is real?

Adam and Eve is definitely the real thing. If you read the Bible God talks about certain things that scientist are still figuring out today, so if God didn't create this world then how would he have known these things? Scientist can't even prove their own theories. It seems kind of silly to believe that everything was placed perfectly from some big bang theory. Scientific theories are only called theories because they can be modified not because they haven't been proven. It would not be called a theory unless it was tested throughly, for instance the 2nd law of thermodynamics which states heat is always lost. This has been proven. Also, the only way to take Adam and Eve into a realistic light is not to take everything literally. God created the earth, but defintely not in seven days. If you ask why he said he did, it is because when the Bible was written to be passed on to man, God would have known that we wold not understand the complexity of what he had done so a simple anctedote would suffice. It is not our job to understand everything; it is God's. In reality, any professional who is not ignorant will not say evolution isn't real he/she will say, common descent ( theory we all evolved from the same germ) is not real, that God has had a helping hand in most to all aspects of evolution which means he did in fact shape men with his bare hands. According to the biblical account, Adam and Eve were the first persons in creation and lived about 6,000 years ago, when the world was said to have been created. However, we have ample evidence of human settlements long before 6,000 years ago, meaning that the biblical account of Adam and Eve and the genealogies of their descendants are not literally true. We even know from archaeology that human ancestors have lived on earth for millions of years - long before the time attributed to Adam and Eve. So the story of Adam and Eve is not real. On the other hand, evolution is based on fact, supported by numerous archaeological finds and scientific study. It is the best explanation for the world around us. A theory is a theory is a theory Back in the 80' there was a study about DNA which linked ALL of us together the scienctist at that time had named the common ancestor "Mother Eve"... the link below might provide some insight The ignorance of man and the intelligence of all... A scientific theory is quite different from a fact. A theory doesn't say THAT something happens (so the creationists are wrong here too), but attempts to explain HOW something happens. For example, the theory of gravity doesn't say THAT gravity happens (we can see that much without any theory), but attempts to explain HOW gravity happens. Why do all massive objects exert a gravitational pull on each other? That's what the theory of gravity seeks to answer.

The theory of evolution does not say THAT evolution happens - that much is accepted as fact by almost all scientists - but attempts to explain HOW evolution happens. That's what creationists don't get. They're trying to discredit the theory of evolution, but even if they somehow manage to do that, it doesn't change the fact that evolution is a scientific reality.

So when you ask "Is evolution real?" the answer is yes. It's been observed and cataloged. It is a fact.

When people say "It's just a theory", they are showing ignorance regarding what the word "theory" means to a scientist.

And when people say "The theory has been proven", they're ALSO showing ignorance regarding what the word "theory" means to a scientist.

And anybody who says that you can't accept evolution AND believe in God is doing a disservice both to science and to faith. And they're also wrong.

All in all, God has created Earthquakes, Tsunamis, and Great Plagues. But it was, and will always be Science that cure and save many lives. We will believe in whatever we choose. God or Science will always be irrational to people. But you cannot refuse that it was Science, that helped us live the way we do today.

What was the first command given to Adam in the garden?

When Adam and Eve were placed in the garden of Eden, God told them that they could do what ever they want except that they were forbidden to eat fruit from a certain tree. Of course when tempted by the devil, they jumped right to it and ate the forbidden fruit.

What languages were spoken by Adam and Eve?

While Adam and Eve are mentioned in the bible, it is perhaps best to think of them as the first man and woman.

We know that the first man and woman originated somewhere in Palestine well before the Greek, Roman or British Empires came into being.

Thus whatever language Adam and Eve spoke, it would be very unlikely to have been English, Greek or Latin. It is known what language Adam and Eve spoke from Anna Katharina Emmerick:

The first tongue, the mother tongue, spoken by Adam, Shem, and Noah, was different, and it is now extant only in isolated dialects. Its first pure offshoots are the Zend, the sacred tongue of India, and the language of the Bactrians. In those languages, words may be found exactly similar to the Low German of my native place. The book that I see in modern Ctesiphon, on the Tigris, is written in that language.

It is known that before Babel, all of the world spoke one unified protoindoeuropean language. Most languages had not yet been created in the time of Adam and Eve because this process did not start till the time of the Tower of Babel, and many of the languages we know today did not exist even at the time of the Tower of Babel because they developed later as people spread out on the earth. Though Adam and Eve's language is never mentioned in the bible, the first half of the scriptures are known as the Hebrew Testament. The language which their confused descendants spoke would most likely have been some form of Semitic tongue.
