Well, the side effect can ultimately be death! But could also be coma, depressed breathing, all scary stuff I have witnessed first hand. Adderall is a stimulant, (It is an Amphetamine & will show up on a urine test!) Ativan (or known by it's generic name Lorazepam) is a benzodiazepine, which is a depressant. So, simply when you do the two of them together, you're essentially "speed-balling" (you can look this up on Wikipedia, search Speedball drug) and it will show you around 20 famous people who have died from doing what you're asking about, I also know three people that were very close to me that died doing this. Two of them combined methadone & xanax (both were under the age of 30, in good health & only used at parties now and then, those were the only 2 drugs found in their autopsies. The other was Adderall and Klonopin. So death is a very real possibility. If you're being prescribed these meds by the same doc, shame on him, One of my friends tha died form the methadone/Xanax OD was given a script for each by his dr. who should have known better. If you're buying these and mixing off the streets, please don't! But if they are a script from you doc you should never just stop any med w/out talking to your dr. first! Good luck! The average elimination half-life in adults for dextroamphetamine and levoamphetamine is 10 hours and 13 hours respectively.

Lets say 1/2 life = 11.5h (of course depending your body and ratio of amphetamine preparations you may possess a different half life)

2x30mg = 60mg

1/2 life = 11,5h

In other words: 60mg(after 11,5h) -> 30mg(1/2 of 60mg)

60mg(after 23h) -> 15mg(1/4 of 60mg)

60mg(after 34,5h) -> 7,5mg(1/8 0f 60mg)

Pain relief

Although sleeping pills are not a reccomended way to help the come down from adderal, i find it it works quite well. I always try to take adderall about 10 hours before I plan on going to bed; so I take adderall at noon and then i take Tylenol pm at about nine; by the time I am coming down I am so sleepy I just fall asleep. I am therefore, in essence, skip the dreadful symptoms of the come down from adderall.

Firstly, the drug is called Adderall. This is an amphetamine and is usually prescribed to "treat" attention deficit disorders. According to PubMed, stopping this drug suddenly is potentially dangerous. These are their cautions:
