Can you use suboxone after a Fentanyl anastesia?
You really should wait the 18 hours maybe an hour or two less If you can’t take it anymore. It’s really hard but REALLY worth it. I went into detox and on that 18th hour I was kicking my legs and jolting all over and just wanted to sleep and finally got a sub and within a half hour probably I fell asleep and I woke up feeling pretty well.
Does marijuana have a physical or psychological addiction?
Whats going on here?!
Do you people even know what physical addiction is?
No. Cocaine is not physically addictive.
And there will be no propaganda in my answer like those other posts. All the info I'm giving is from personal experience and from what my doctor told me when I asked him the same question. We all know cocaine is bad for you blah blah.. the question was "Is cocaine physicaly addictive" and the answer is NO.
It is, however, severely psychologically addictive. Some users experience no withdrawal symptoms, for some people the dependence comes on slowly over weeks or months of use, and for some it like, you snort one line and suddenly your wallet is arguing with your mind and body, while your self control shoots heroin and dozes off on the front porch (you won't be seeing him till tomorrow and he's gonna have some physical withdrawal going on).
But lets get serious here.
Sudden abstinence from a physically addictive substance causes physical harm such as seizures, severe muscle and bone aches, immune system suppression, some can be fatal.
Psychologically substances, cause psychologicalharm with sudden withdrawn such as severe anxiety, depression, even drug educed schizophrenia type symptoms. These psychological symptoms can often manifest themselves as physical problems like shaking, sweating, panic attacks, irritable bowel syndrome.. the list goes on, but none of these problems will cause physicalbodily harm, and there is potential for death from sudden withdrawal, in fact, your body will probably thank you after it's done being all anxious and depressed.
Both types of addiction are caused by similar mechanisms. Addiction occurs when one suddenly abstains from taking a certain exogenous substance (or similar types of substance) for a long period of time (though time period really depends on the person and can develop a lot faster with psychological withdrawal than physical). While the person is on the drug, that person will slow down, or stop the body from producing some endogenous chemicals, or severely decrease the effectiveness of natural bodily chemicals. This causes distress because you're body needs these chemicals to be present in natural quantities and act effectively on the body and mind.
So you can do a gram or so of coke per day for years and quitting cold turkey won't harm your body....... As long as your heart doesn't explode and you liver doesn't crap out and you don't develop one of the many other health problems chronic cocaine use causes.... and what your doing is actually cocaine and not some other strange chemical that disgusting, despicable coke dealers often throw in the mix
Basically, it's the actual use (not the sudden withdrawal) that causes physical damage. And the damage is bad, despite it's moderate social acceptance.
AnswerOften times cocaine abuse symptoms go unnoticed because cocaine abuse symptoms are subtle and hard to identify. As cocaine abuse escalates, cocaine abuse symptoms become more apparent and are easier to detect. For occasional users, cocaine abuse symptoms may start off as a nosebleed or increased heart rate, however with continual use, symptoms such as cardiac arrest and severe health problems may occur. Cocaine abuse and addiction can lead to hospitalization and death. The use of cocaine affects the way a person thinks, acts and feels. A person who has begun to abuse cocaine and is becoming addicted to the drug will focus more and more energy on acquiring and using the drug. One extremely detrimental cocaine abuse symptom is obsession or craving. Once a person has become addicted to cocaine, their mind and body have an obsession with the drug that is curbed only when the drug is found and used.
As soon as cocaine enters the body it begins to take control of the user's mind. The user becomes increasingly consumed with the prospected of using more cocaine. This mental obsession grows larger and begins to manifest itself in the user's actions. As the user becomes more desperate for the drug, he/she will do whatever it takes to find more cocaine: lie, cheat, steal, etc. Drug addicts are notorious for stealing from loved ones, lying about their use and finding devious ways to get the drugs they need. Many users find themselves in jail and other situations that they never thought were possible.
In addition to the mental cocaine abuse symptoms that the user feels, there are also physical consequences for using the drug. The chemical makeup within the body must readjust itself in order to have the ability to consume a foreign substance. The user becomes physically hooked to the drug from the very first use. This is completely false. No drugs can cause physical dependence from the first use. Talk to a doctor or do some research (the internet is directly in front of your face.. in case your having trouble finding info.... Then again... I'm a creative person and like making up stories as well. To each his own I suppose. There are a wide range of physical cocaine abuse symptoms including less severe symptoms such as loss of appetite and nosebleeds, to more sever symptoms such as heart and respiratory problems. Over time the nasal passage through which the drug travels will disintegrate causing uncontrollable nosebleeds and a loss of sensory nerves. Eventually the user will become physically ill, experiencing cocaine abuse symptoms such as stomach cramps, cold sweats and increased heart rate. In time continuous cocaine abuse and the worsening of these symptoms can lead to death.
There is only one way to help your loved ones should they be hooked to any drug INTERVENTION! Family, friends, wives, not even their children can usually give them a reason to stop using on their own. A small percentage will realize they are losing their life and know instinctively that they could die, so they may enter into drug rehabilitation themselves. THERE IS HOPE! (propaganda!)
AnswerThe truth of the matter is that you must continually use a drug, any drug, many times, in excess, in order to develop an addiction to it, both physically and psychologically (thats why its called drug ABUSE). The myth of try it once and youre hooked is just that, a myth, it is even untrue of shooting heroine. There are plenty of people who use cocaine occasionally, once in a couple of months say, for years, without developing an addiction. However, you can never know a drugs true effect on you until you've tried it, drugs affect different people differently both in a single instance of use, and regarding susceptibility to developing an addiction. Some people have more addictive personalities than others. I think it is OK to use drugs if you exercise a great deal of caution. With any drug, and I include alcohol, never be tempted to think that you can easily control it. There are powerful substances that have overpowered a great many people, they could overpower you, too. If you use a drug, respect it, treat it as something that should always be handled with care. Find out as much accurate information as you can, in advance, and always treat drug use as something that is out of your normal experience - you can set a time and a place for it, and choose to experience it under certain conditions - beware of turning it into a mundane part of your life, because once that happens, you are addicted. After that first line you are standing at a crossroad in your life. Go left, never do it again, you just wanted to see what all the fuss was about. Go right and you think that it is overrated, doesn't seem that bad and a year later you find yourself doing another one with a lot less hesitance than the first time, cause now you think you can handle it. You think you know whats its all about and it doesn't seem as hectic as what people make it out to be. Cause that first time you get all the highs and none of the lows, you sleep fine that evening, no lying awake for hours on end. Next thing you know you doing it once a month, but there's no withdrawal, you think of it as that shot of Stroh rum that you drink once a month. And that can go on for years, no problems, right. Now try quitting it. It is all in the mind, dopamine and all that stuff. If your brain knows it can get a take away of that lovely dopamine for much less effort than manufacturing it itself, it convinces every cell in your body that it's okay, what's wrong with unhealthy food once a month, unfortunately its not your stomach, but your body's control centre that takes the hit.
Well, I'll tell you this much. I'm 2 days out of rehab and I spent 2 months there, so I learned quite a bit about the illness of addiction. There is now years of research on addiction and it's widely acknowledged now that 12.5% of any group of people, no matter what race or country you come from, are addicts/alcoholics. And the doctors and psychiatrists are in agreement that there is only one drug that gets you physically hooked is methamphetamine (tik). When the US soldiers came back from Vietnam they found that 60% of the troops were doing heroine. Doctors watched the situation very carefully to determine whether its the drug that's the problem or does the problem lie with the individual. And guess what? 12.5% of the users could not stop on their own. So I hope that answers your question, cocaine is much more physically addictive for someone who has a natural disposition of having the illness of addiction. Recovery = abstinence + change

What happens if someone would take more than 1 suboxone at one time?
Twenty minutes later you start sweating really bad and become delirious, you feel even sicker than before, it's like you go into instant withdrawals. Ive done it and I regret it! I would have put a bullet in my head if I had a gun, and i am in no way suicidal!
Suboxone reaches a "ceiling effect" at 32mg's, which means you cant take more than four 8mg pills. essentially, you can take more than 4 pills, though the extra pills are wasted.
Suboxone's very unlike methodone, it's a partion opiod agonist/antagonist meaning it's effects are not as significant as a full opiod agonist, though to the opiate nieve, it is a very powerful drug and if you're taking 32mg's a day, than you must have an extremely high tolerance.....
Is suboxone and methadone the same?
Yes, almost. Buprenorphine is sold in two forms: Suboxone and Subutex. The difference between them is that Suboxone has naloxone added to it. Naloxone is a partial opiate antagonist, meaning that it blocks the opiate receptors in your brain, so you cannot get high from either taking too much Suboxone, or from taking other opiates on top of the Suboxone. Subutex does not have the naloxone in it, so it is possible to take a lot of it and get high on it (it's going to be a crappy high, though...you're really better off taking hydrocodone or oxycodone, if you wanna get an opiate high), or to take other opiates like heroin or oxycodone on top of the Subutex, and get high from them.
Why do you throw up after you take suboxone?
When I first started taking Suboxone (the first few days) I threw up a lot! I called my doctor and he said to not worry about it as this is very common in the first few days of taking Sub. Since it's dissolved under your tongue, once this is done, you can't "throw up" the meds, as they're already in your bloodstream. My doctor suggested laying down a bit, drinking a little 7-Up or Sprite and eating a few crackers to alleviate the nausea. This will pass as your body adjusts to the Sub. It took about three days for me though.
How long should you wait to take lorcet after taking suboxon?
it all dpends how much Tylenol u took. your weight . if u took 500 mg of Tylenol then a lrotab 5-10/500 would be ok i wouldn't take more than 1500 mg of Tylenol at ounce though
and if your still nevous 4 hours afterwords your in the clear no matter what
Can you take a loritab if you have not had a suboxone in 24 hours?
yes you can, you will not feel it as good as you would if you waited another 24hours though. To be honest you probably won't even feel it at all. So I wouldn't waste it because it takes at least 36 hours for the suboxone to clear your system.
What factors can contribute to a person's tendency to become addicted to drugs?
All of these are correct
What is the best way to kick a chewing tobacco habit?
There are many ways. You can either quite cold turkey or try to ween yourself of of the product.
I dipped for a couple years and wanted to stop. Sometimes I would quite cold turkey and others I would ween myself off by lowering the amounts I allowed myself to have each day. I have found that quiting cold turkey takes a lot more will power and you are more likely to fail. I failed a couple times when I got in a stressfull time or just felt like a pinch would feel great. I have been free of dip ever since I weened myself off of it and it has been a few months. This will probably be your best bet b/c you won't have the cravings from the nicotine receptors that you would quiting cold turkey.
I took up chewing gum or drinking coffee to help during quiting and that helped a lot. just having something to chew on like a straw or gum will help.
Whatever your choice, stick to it. the first week is hell but if you can get through that, the rest should be easier. Good luck
Does Suboxone lessen the effect of alprazolam?
No. They bind to different receptor sites. Suboxone is in the opiate class of medications. Alprazolam is in the benzodiazepine class of medications.
That being said, it is generally not indicated to be on alprazolam (due to its addictive properties) while being treated with Suboxone.
What if you take more than 4 codeine pills of 200mg at one time?
You get really high and stupid. On the other hand, if you don't take them, you show that you're pretty smart.
They have no effect on pregnancy, BTW, except that it's possible to have an addicted fetus.
Can you become addicted to alcohol?
No. It takes more than one exposure to become addicted to a drug, although it is possible that one might like it so much that one becomes psychologically disposed to drink more from the beginning. Most people who use alcohol moderately (two drinks or less a day) will not become addicted at all. Those who do will find excuses why it's OK for them to drink more. Alcoholism has a genetic component, and some people who are strongly predisposed drink heavily from the start and progress to "problem drinking" rapidly. (This writer was one of those.) However, whether one is "addicted" from the beginning is highly unlikely.* Even some heavy drinkers are able to stop without difficulty, the question, of course, being whether or not they are able to stay stopped. It is also likely that prolonged alcohol abuse (drinking to intoxication) can progress to alcohol addiction even in people without the hereditary predisposition. The jury is still out on that scientifically, but strong anecdotal evidence indicates that this is the case. *Remember that the best definition of alcohol addiction (or any other) is that use is causing problems for you, but you feel you have to keep on doing it anyway. That cuts through all the denial b.s. and puts the problem where the rubber meets the road.
What are some remedies to help detox from hydrocodone?
You can stop hydrocodone completely all at once -- you don't need to taper off. Detoxing will take 4-5 days, during which you'll experience symptoms like a bad flu -- no worse and no better. Consider taking this time off work if you can. If you can't, you'll still make it. Drink LOTS of liquids and, if you have trouble keeping things down, shift over to a clear liquid diet for the duration (but only if you need to). Sport Drinks should be included if you can't keep food down (which is rare -- it's like a FLU :} ), as they replenish electrolytes. Be aware that withdrawal from Hydrocodone is Depressing in an emotional sense. Be prepared. Remember that this isn't something permanent; it's a phase that will pass SOON. Get someone to help you. This is an easy detox compared to alcohol or barbituates, but it's nice to have an understanding body nearby. If your hydrocodone fixation results from a need for pain control, plan a way to manage pain while you're detoxing. This detox -- unlike others -- will not have permanent effects. If you can do the 4 or so days you'll be fine.
What is the difference between an addiction and a habit?
A COMPULSION is based upon the psychological principles of dependency, need and desire. Although compulsive behavior may have physiological aspects attached to it such as feelings of satiation, and psychological withdrawal, compulsion does not alter the brain the way addiction does. Compulsive behavior that is secondary to an Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder is a neurobiologically acquired mental illness. ADDICTION on the other hand is a medical term that refers to a neurobiological process that in addition to compulsion, obsession, loss of control, and a continuation in spite of dangerous consequence, also must include as part of its definition, a progressive neuronal desensitization, and a brain-based neurochemical alteration. A good example that helps distinguish these terms from one another is that of drug addiction and sexual addiction. Many individuals use drugs such as marijuana, cocaine, and/or alcohol on a recreational or social basis. These individuals are capable of stopping their ususage at any time with no lasting harmful physiological or cognitive consequence. Individuals addicted to a drug however, are not able to stop their behavior without significant brain-based physiological consequence such as seizures, gastroenterological disturbances, heart palpitations, changes in blood pressure, and cognitive disruptions in areas of memory, concentration, and decision-making. The same principles apply to a sexual compulsivity and a sexual addiction. With a sexual addiction, sexually ritualistic behaviors alter the neurochemistry of the brain not just during sex, but well before and well after the sexual act. Additionally, sexual addicts, just like drug addicts, experience a host of cognitive impairments generally specific to the executive functioning of the right prefrontal cortex such as decision-making, concentration, abstract thinking, attention, insight and judgment, conceptualization, and mental flexibility. What is the number one cause of drug abuse?
People usually develop drug addictions because they are unhappy, and are self-medicating to feel better. They might be clinically depressed, or something horribly traumatic may have happened to them, which they cannot get over.
Other people just have what is called "an addictive personality." There is evidence to suggest that this addictive personality may be hereditary. Studies have shown that 75% of alcoholics or drug addicts have at least one blood relative who is an alcoholic or drug addict.
Why don't you get a buzz on methadone maintenance?
The purpose of methadone maintenance is to treat opiate addiction and in some cases pain management. Methadone is not meant to produce an euphoric effect and if a buzz feeling results after taking methadone, that usually means it is too much.
How long does suboxone stay in your system if injected?
Y our not recommended to inject them it can be fatal Ha...so isn't everything else you inject. That wasn't my question. Intravenous is just another method to use it, and is in fact less dangerous than heroin for instance. You always know exactly how potent it is and never have to worry about bunk stuff. But again that wasn't the question.
What does a percocet high feel like?
It's very euphoric when you take it. Well, depending on the strength, really. If you take a Percocet 10, you'll feel the effects after only one pill. But a first time user of Perc's might want to take an anti-emetic (anti-nausea) medicine with it. When you start to itch, you know you're about to be in heaven. Anything could happen in front of you and you won't give a flip about it. For me, the best thing to do when a Perc high begins is to sit or lay on my bed, watching TV. Also, playing a video game makes you feel great because you feel like you can beat the game with ease. Be careful if you choose to walk around somewhere. If you're a first time user of Percocet, then you will feel dizzy and may feel a little nauseated. But after about an hour, you feel just the high. The best part about being a first time user is that the high lasts longer. A first time user will have a high that will last up to 3 1/2 hours. One that has used before will have a high of only about 30 minutes to an hour. Try not to get too addicted to them or the high won't be as good. Alternate drugs. If you stop feeling the same high off of Percocet, change it up and start taking Vicoden or Lorcet 10's. They're different medications. Perc's are oxycodone and Lorcet's are Hydrocodone.
Just to be clear for those who may be unfamiliar with these medications. Percocet's have oxycodone as the main chemical in it for pain not Codeine. Oxycodone is a stronger medication than Codeine.
Is it okay to eat powder with out talc if your pregnant?
yeah that's a good answer would you?
Umm how much are you planning to eat?
If it has already happened how much did you consume?
Oh how I hope you're kidding on this one but srsly no prbly not.
Stop eating it for the love of all that is holy and replacethat part of the meal with like a vegetable, maybe some leafy gren stuff like kale. yeah I know kale sucks, but it's high in iron and might actually help. Liver is also high in iron but srsly who eats liver on purpose... that might just anger your baby.
Synergism, in reference to drugs, means that one drug, Tylenol for instance, has the usual pain relief effect. Another drug like Oxycodone, also has the usual pain relief effect as well. But when you combine the two drugs you get Percocet, which is much stronger than the individual drugs are. Kinda like saying 1+1=3. When you combine them they have a far greater effect that they would alone.
