The island is around 130 feet, so about 13 stories.

The prison building itself is on a slope, and the main prison area is a large, warehouse-like building, so this is a bit tricky to answer.

In the main area of the prison, the cellblocks are three tiers high, with an empty tier above them. On the northeastern part of the building, there are three floors: the hospital wing on the top floor, the dining hall on the main floor, and the basement on the bottom floor (though it's not really a basement, as it has full depth walls and windows.)

Life in Alcatraz in 1935 was ... well i would imagine it to be brutal for the prisoners. A few people who payed a visit to alcatraz were scar face (Al Capone) and the bird man.

There are lots of things to consider. It seems fair to assume that since you are even asking, you may know that you are good at math, and probably like it. Taking courses like this, especially if you like the topic, is always a good idea. Have you given any thought to what you might like to do? It goes without saying that if you are considering any field of science, engineering or technology, then pre-calc is not a bad choice. Even if you are choosing something more geared to liberal arts, having an intellectually varied background will never hurt. A friend went to Med School with a BA in music. I'm not saying this to suggest that your choice over pre-calculus is not important; only that a breadth of knowledge is respected, and whatever you choose, if you think about balance, will be helpful to you. If your good in math and a good studier, taking this class will only help you and it looks good to have taken the class.

Answer to occupation affecting lifespan If you are working shift work, or 2nd or 3rd shift, you end up changing your sleep-wake cycle which inturn contributes to varoius medical conditions. Also, stress at work will increase your risk for cardiovascular issues. Hypertension, heart attack, stroke. If you are not able to "let go of work" by the time you get home, you need to find a way. If your job takes alot of your time, your time to exercise gets less and less. Exercise is usually the first thing to be cut out of someone's daily routine. Another large factor in your occupation affecting your lifespan is in your diet. It is easier to grab fast food with shift work versus fixing a healthy meal.
