What is the value of an autographed baseball signed by the 1985 Astros?

A 1985 Houston Astros Team signed baseball with the key signatures Ryan, and Davis is worth about $75.-$100. I haven't seen many Astro team signed baseballs up for auction lately, and the price stated above might have to be updated but should be close. The price is based on average prices of recently closed auctions. Prices may vary based on condition, and the type of authenticity that accompanies the baseball. Prices may also vary based on the amount of signatures, and key signatures acquired. The more complete the baseball with key signatures the more valuable. Note: a Nolan Ryan single signed baseball could sell for more money than the Astros team signed baseball that has Ryan's signature. A signed baseball without a creditable letter of authenticity could sell for half the market value or less. Condition is as important. I will leave a link for Astro team signed baseballs complete with lists of key signatures, and links to full team rosters. As soon as I come across a more recent auction I will up date the price. Check back soon.

Where can you find the value of or sell a 1933 Chicago Cubs autographed baseball with 19 signatures?

The value depends a great deal on the condition of the signatures, who signed the ball, the condition of the ball, whether or not the ball is an official national league ball or some other type, and several other factors. According to the collector's price guide "Team Baseballs," your ball is worth $500, but this value can be greater or lower depending on players present - in particular the inclusion of Hall of Famers Kiki Cuyler, Gabby Hartnett and Billy Herman - plus the all-important overall condition of the ball and autographs. Other key factors include type of ball (is it an "Official National League" ball?), whether there are any "clubhouse signatures" (autographs signed by ballboys, attendants, etc), and number of signatures present. Player autograph were often signed by clubhouse attendants, so authenticity of the significant signatures is still the main factor in determining overall value.

What is the name of the college that Alex Rodriguez attended?

If referring to New York Yankee Alex "A-Rod" Rodriguez, the answer is that he did not attend college. Rodriguez had a scholarship to attend the University of Miami (FL) in Coral Gables. As the legend goes, supposedly Rodriguez was on his way to his first college class when his agent tracked him down in order for him to sign a professional contract.

This is important because of the rules surrounding eligibility and maintaining the amateur status as a college athlete. Had Rodriguez attended that class (or technically get within 50 feet of the classroom), he would have been ineligible for the Major League Baseball Draft until after his junior year in college.

Rodriguez signed a letter of intent to play baseball for the University of Miami and was also recruited by the university to play quarterback for its football team. Rodriguez turned down Miami's baseball scholarship and never played college baseball, opting instead to sign with the Seattle Mariners after being selected in the first round of the amateur draft at the age of 17. His Major League debut was just before his 19th birthday.

What is the value of an Alex Rodriguez autograph?

Signatures will vary in price based on condition, the type of authenticity that accompanies the signature, the item signed, and how well the item displays the signature. Baseballs are the most common, and preferred by collectorsbecause of it's connection to the game, low cost, availability and it displays the signature well. The signed baseball represents the average price for a signature, and by deducting or adding from this price for the Item signed accordingly will give you a good idea on value.

The lowest priced signed item would be for a "cut Signature." A cut signature is a signature on a piece of paper, or "cut" from a larger piece. Index cards are the next step up, and both sell at a fraction (about 10%-20%) the price of an autographed baseball. Autograph photos typically sell at about 40-60 percent the price of a baseball with bats, uniform Jersey's and equipment selling at a higher price due to the higher cost of the item, rarity and display.

In general if an autographed baseball is worth $100. the same autograph on a 8x10 photo $50. a cut signature $20. on a bat $150. The percentage of the price could also vary based on the popularity of the player, and how sought after the signature is.

An Alex Rodriguez single signed baseball is worth between $250.-$400. Value is based on average prices of recently closed auctions. Prices may vary based on condition, and the type of authenticity that accompanies the baseball. Signatures that have not been properly authenticated could sell at half the market value or less. Add for inscriptions. In a recent auction (April 2008) an Alex Rodriguez single signed baseball sold for $358.50
