Can you use 9mm in a 380 handgun?
It depends on what you mean. 380 is the same as 9x17, but if you mean standard 9mm, that is 9x19. It's too long and too high pressure to use in a .380.
Does a 30-06 bullet rise when fired from a rifle?
IF the barrel is parallel to the ground, ALL bullets begin to drop as soon as they leave the barrel. To shoot at anything any distance away, the barrel is tiled up to some degree. Being pointed up, bullet WILL go up- and back down again. Try it with a stream of water from a garden hose, and you can see how it works. To spray water further away, you tilt the hose nozzle up- water goes up, and back down again. But point the nozzle straight out, water does not go up.

Can you shoot regular 22 short cal ammo in a 22 LR rifle?
Yes- with a couple of qualifiers- first, MOST .22 LR semi auto firearms will not cycle (feed semiautomatically) with .22 Shorts. Some bolt and lever guns are not happy with the shorter rounds feeding from a box magazine- these will need to be fed one at a time. Second, prolonged firing of shorts in a LR chamber can build up a ring of carbon right at the mouth of the .22 Short case, which may make switching back to LR difficult. Solution is to clean the firearm, paying attention to the chamber of the gun.

How could you tell the difference between real bullets and blanks?
Blanks will not kill you while the latter will.
_____
A real "bullet" has a distinct projectile ("bullet") attached to the front of the cartridge, while with a blank, the brass cartridge is simply crimped closed. If you're not sure, don't use it - ask someone who knows.
<><><><>
Agree with the answer immediately above. In regard to the FIRST answer, while a blank cartridge does not have a bullet (the projectile part of a cartridge) people HAVE been killed or badly injured by blank cartridges. They will produce a very high pressure jet of gas that can hurt you quite badly at close range.
That is the correct spelling of "ammo," which is short for "ammunition."
