i am sicilian and my whole family has a dark complexion with dark brown hair with an auburn tint and dark brown eyes with a tint of red. I know it sounds weird but it's true! we also are about short to average length and have olive skin tones. Very outspoken people. You'd be lucky to know one;)

Anyone who has been to Sicily will be astounded at the variety of hair, eye color

and facial features of Sicilians. I too am half Sicilian, and we are blond, blue eyed people. We are from the heartland/interior of Sicily. On the coastal areas,

we saw more of the al Pacino type looks, dark skin, dark eyes, etc. So many

red heads and so many beautiful eye colors!!! Really a diverse and good looking people who are mixed with many races...greek, northern european, north african (tunisia, morocco etc), Spanish, French, etc. there is no "typical" sicilian look...in america, we have come to see the dark eyed dark haired sicilian as typical. Nothing could be further from reality. My cousin, have the most beautiful amber eyes and hair....awesome and very fair skin.
