Will you gain weight in Molipaxin after using Cymbalta?

I have been using Molipaxin 50 g for just over a week and I seem to have gained 7 pounds.

Is this a normal side effect?

How long do hives last after discontinuing Zyban?

Hives are caused by an allergic reaction and as much as Zyban companies will have one believe, there are some terrible side effects taking this med. I had a friend who took it and his face was so swollen it cracked (as did his lips). The doctors at ER said it wasn't Zyban, but in truth it was. Go and see your doctor and if you don't have one then go to a clinic ASAP. You will be given a antihistamine. Don't self medicate yourself, but see your doctor! Good luck Hope you are feeling better soon Marcy

Is Abilify a maoi?

Is Paroxetine the same as Paxil?

Generic Paxil is definitely the same with its brand name since both drugs contain the same active ingredient. The only difference is the name given by manufacturers. The generic version of Paxil is known as Paroxetine. If you are on a tight budget then you can go for generic medications since they are basically much cheaper and offer the same outcomes with the brand names.

Can you take Effexor and Ativan?

I have taken Effexor XR for some time. In the last few years I've had trouble sleeping and was given a scrip for Ambien. I'm not sure it hurts to take them together although I am on 150mg Effexor and only 5mg Ambien (was given 10mg, but cut them inhalf), but I'm also not sure that you shouldn't. I would not take it every evening whether on Effexor or not. Advise to take the lowest dosage of Ambien that helps.

My best description of Effexor is "the drug from hell". Yes, it has helped my chronic depression, but after several years and reading and becoming concerned about its long-term us, I tried (through my doctor) to wean off it. The withdrawal (after 2-3 of tapering off) were horrible (and NO, it wasn't just depression returning). I can barely describe what I felt like, my doc asked me, and the best I could come up with is "it felt like my brain was trying to throw up and couldn't"--crying, restless legs, helplessness, hopelessness, inability to sleep, dizziness, nervousness, nausea, vertigo--a combination of awfulness!

SAMe and Lexapro taken together?

SAM-e should be fine with an antidepressant. It is going to interact with other hormone medications. Lexapro will be OK to take. Remember to take your Lexapro every day even if you don't feel you need it!

Can you take Effexor xr and garcinia cambogia?

This is a topic that should be discussed with a doctor. Garcinia Cambogia, often used for weight loss, is thought to affect serotonin levels in the brain. As serotonin is also the target of Zoloft, it is not recommended that the two be taken together.

How much of an antidepressant do you have to take to OD?

It takes a stunningly huge amount of any of the modern antidepressants to reach a lethal dosage. It's far more likely you'll harm yourself than kill yourself this way.

Before you start considering dangerous methods that may leave you in severe
distress, may I strongly suggest you anonymously call a suicide hotline (800) 273-TALK (8255) if only to see if there's another alternative? And if that doesn't work for you, perhaps you can chat with a friend about this first?

What side effects can happen when stopping zoloft and starting Wellbutrin?

Withdrawal Symptoms

The question needs some clarification. Each of these are drugs to treat depression. Each can be taken separately. Frequently wellbutrin is added to regimens of Zoloft to try to provide energy or correct sexual problems.

Wellbutrin has a series of potential withdrawal symptoms. It is best to try to taper from a high dose down to a low dose... 300mg, to 150mg, to 100mg to 75mg. Others report that they can stop wellbutrin immediately with no withdrawal. Best to work with your doctor.

Zoloft has a very well documented withdrawal syndrome, with electrical or zappy feelings as one of the events. The original poster of this answer below did not indicate which medication they were withdrawing from or which dosages. The important information is that they recommend a taper down. Zoloft can be tapered very slowly into very small doses. Wellbutrin can be taken in small doses ( a 75 mg can be cut in two). The higher formulations of Wellbutrin can not be cut. Before cutting a pill of anysort both your doctor and a pharmacist should be consulted.

I had major withdrawel symptoms - nausea, vomiting and shakes for 10 days. I HIGHLY recommend "stepping" off these drugs and not stopping cold turkey.

Been on it for 4 months, I went from 450 mg to nothing (hair loss issue) it's been 7 days now, no withdrawal(s) whatsoever it's business as usual, go figure.

Is sertraline the same as Zoloft?

Zoloft is the product trade name of sertraline chemical compound.

Doctors in the US prescribe chemical compounds, so your prescription will read "sertraline".

To the contrary, doctors in the EU prescribe products, so your prescription will read "zoloft".

If you have no prescription and you ask your pharmacist just "sertraline" they may give you Zoloft (original drug, from the maker who initially hold the patent) or other other product that contain the same drug (called 'generics').

If you can afford the Zoloft (maker: Phizer) prefer it from generics. Although it is always the same drug, other inactive compounds of the drug may not be the same, so distribution in the body may not be exactly the same, affecting efficacy or clearout time.

Can Adderall be taken with Effexor?

Yes. I have depression, social anxiety and adhd (the attention deficit type- not the hypermotor type). I have been prescribed both lexapro and Ritalin by my psychiatrist and feel infinitely better. Althought the initial doses had some side effects they went away and for now I only have slight headaches when the Ritalin wears off. I can concentrate on my school work (graduate level) and my participation has recently received recognition from both my peers and my professors. I feel soooo much better than I used to. Somehow after the Ritalin was added, my ability to focus on conversations has had a positive effect on my social anxiety. I can hold conversations without hearing everything else going on around me getting distracted and then embarrassed.

I have no scientific information and the warnings reflect that an MD should be inquired prior to mixing the 2. (Mine suggested the combination)

Does Lexapro get you high?

I have been taking Lexapro for about a year and it does not make me high at all. The first we I took it, I felt a little overly happy but that's it. If you want to increase your dosage, I was told to go up a half a pill each week but stop at 2 pills at the most. (first week: half a pill, second week: one pill, third week: one and a half pills, fourth week:two pills) Taking an extra pill than you are suppossed to does not make you high, it can make you throw up and lose your appetite.

ATTENTION: I AM NOT A DOCTOR, SO DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPLETELY. DIFFERENT PEOPLE APPLY TO DIFFERENT DOSAGES.

Stop Zoloft start lexapro how many days?

First, you can't just stop taking Zoloft--if you've taken it for more than a month or so, you'll have to slowly decrease your dose until it is 10mg or so and then stop (this should take several weeks.) Then you're ready to start Lexapro (no cool off period in between is necessary.) Note: I am not a physician but I know that if your doctor recommended changing from Zoloft to Lexapro s/he would have already gone over this--be careful--Zoloft has a profound effect on your brain chemistry, make sure your doctor is in agreement on this. Note: I've taken Zoloft (Sertraline) and Wellbutrin in different strengths for over 6 years, these are serious drugs.
