At a rough guess your tank will actually be holding about 52 litres of water. (Tanks are never filled to the brim). Using the basic rule of :- 2.25cm of fish needs at least 2.25 (1 inch of fish needs 1 gallon) litres of water then your tank can hold a maximum of 52 cm of fish. So the calculation would be 2 guppies @ 4cm each = 8cm. 2 Rummynose Tetras @ 5cm each = 10 cm. 3 Corydoras catfish @ 5 cm each = 15 cm. Totalling 33 cm. It is always better to be well under the maximum stocking level but this calculation would indicate that there is sufficient room for a few more small fish. Maybe you could try a few Harlequin Rasboras (Rasbora heteromorpha) or some Cardinal Tetras (Cheirodon axelrodi) but remember to keep your total length well below the maximum capacity.

You can try but I don't reccomend it. The cichlids are a lot more aggressive than the angels. My best bet is to keep the angels in a semi aggressive or peaceful community tank. But if you HAVE to put them with cichlids... Put them with South Americans at least

Well I'm guessing that you have more than one in the tank, right? If you do I'm sure it's because they are trying to attract one another to breed. Fish attract each other by shaking and flashing their fins.

Make sure you fish tank is big enough area for your fish. You can give your fish some things inside the bowl or tank. You should also feed it. Don't put it in a place that might stress it out, such as with an area of dramatic temperature changes like by a door. You might also want to avoid places with high traffic areas (such as a hallway) or a child's bedroom or play room.

To sex them, look at the bottom back single fin under the rear of the belly. In males it's pointed. In females it's fanned out. Immature males all look like females so watch as the babies grow up. A baby male can take 4 months or more to show his gender.

No way. Pacus come from the Amazon and their required water parameters (soft and acid) are as different from those required by African Cichlids (hard and alkaline) as could possibly be imagined. Pacus are not really suited to aquarium life anyway because they grow to well over 60 lbs in weight and are much too large for a tiny 20 gallon tank.

Your frogs would do best in an "ADF only" tank, where there isn't much competition for food. But you can keep some very peaceful and slow going fish such as, Platys, Guppies, and some loaches.

In the wild, fish tend to nibble all day but depending on species, morning and evening are most Barbs main feeding times. Young, growing fish need to be fed several times daily to grow quickly into healthy adults. The way I feed my fish is to add a small amount of food and if the fish eat it all in less than 15 minutes I add more. I do this several times a day. (at least morning and evening)

Tiger Barbs (Barbus tetrazona) lay eggs that are fertilised outside the body. The males drive/chase the females in amongst the water plants. The females scatter their eggs and the males scatter their sperm (milt). Most of the fertilised eggs (ova) stick to the plants where they will develop. From spawning Tiger Barbs are on their own and not looked after by their parents.

they look almost like A little bush. its a bunch of round eggs all tied up together at the bottom of the tank or at the bottom of where ever they are.they are all connected to a little piece and spread out like a bunch of balloons wrapped in a little girls hand.

You can add Guppies, Mollies,Neon tetras, algae eaters,sword tails,and African water frogs (also known as African clawed frogs, but they don't claw the fish)to name a few.If you do add an African water frog, be sure to have a lid on your tank. To add flair, you can add mystery snails, clams or ghost or cherry shrimp. You can also put an angelfish or angelfish pare, but to be on the safe side, don't put anything to small in with it because any fish that has a mouth big enough to eat another smaller fish will usually eat it. Fish do all have their own unique personalities though, so if you get a shy angel he might not bother smaller fish. angels can get 7-8 inches long and 10 inches tall.If you plan to get mystery snails, don't add a clown loach because they will snack on the snails.

Hello, its fairly hard to tell if a tiger barb is male or female, but the best way that ive learnt how is when the males get excited their nose becomes dark orange to almost a red. So yeah, i hope this helps mate, otherwise u might want to contact a breeder that breeds them personally. Or maybe if ur aquarium doesnt know ask them for their supplier/breeder number to ask them urself. Anywho, I hope this helps :oD

i have had green tiger barbs for 12months and i have used the net to find out more info about them. the male green tiger barb has a thin orange to red line on its fin the female has none.

Clown loaches are a little bit more outgoing then some other types of loach. Even then they can be elusive. They stay near the bottom of the tank and often hide behind plants. Due to their bright orange coloration they are still easy to spot. Their relative the Kuhli loach is longer and more eel like. They are much more prone to hiding as you described.

The simple answer is yes. Just remember the golden rule 1 inch of fish needs 1 gallon of water.
