Why is Area 51 considered restricted from the public?
The government needs a place to develop and test top secret military and spy equipment for defense of the US and to maintain military superiority. The area known as area 51 is at Edwards Air Force Base, the USAF Nevada Test and Training Range. Military security supersedes the curiosity of the public.

The name "Area 51" is just part of the identification system for different parts of the Nevada Test Site, just to the west.

Area 51 is called area 51 because the Nellis AFB and range complex is made up of grids from 1-125 and the grid that is #51 is the place that it is believed to be the place where the Goverment is hiding a UFO but in fact it has never been proven that is what is there but it makes good folklore.

Since it has been rumored that the government was in possession of both dead and live Aliens, which would be almost impossible to stop all leaks of people sharing what they know, they created a very unbelievable cover up story that takes decades to be divulge fully with false information.

Even this is a ploy, they exasperate the misinformation so it is more attention getting story, so people's focus is on looking for information that does not exist, on site location of minor importance while others with more importance go undetected.

So using this line of thought, Aliens have visited earth involving our government, but not at any location the public is aware of, in completely different situation than is being rumored.

If Aliens were not involved in any of the rumored incidents, then the government would not classify matters surrounding incidents as top secrete, and it would not take years to view even a mostly blacked out documents.

That does not mean that it contains aliens, alien spacecraft, alien corpses, or any of the other things that fictional accounts ascribe to it, merely that it does exist.

I believe "Area 51" only contains top secret information, not information about aliens but informations about vacines, cures for cancer, weapons, designs, and gadgets. Infact some truth that Area 51 [alien] exists is this quote...

Technically yes. Nevada, like all states, is broken up into areas. The government says that area 51 does not exist, yet if you go there you will see a heavily secured military base. While people claim to have seen aliens and spacecraft inside of area 51, this has not been proven. It is used as a black project base, where the government tests experimental aircraft. This is why there is so many ufo's reported in that area.
Area 51 is a Lockheed Martin military establishment controlled by the US Air Force. A remote detatchment of Edwards Air Force Base which is commanded by Air Force Materiel Command. The Air Force Material Commands commander and executive officer is Gen. Janet Wolfenbarger.
Connecting these together and it suggests that Gen. Janet Wolfenbarger is in charge of Area 51 or at least plays a major part in the chain of command.
From what I could find, Area 51 began as a WWII base. After the war it was abandoned for a few years and then Lockheed-Martin used the site for aircraft testing. What goes on there now I have no idea.
