Do you need to keep insurance if car is part of an estate?
If the estate is not yet closed and the vehicle has not been transferred to a beneficiary, it is generally a good idea to keep the physical damage coverage intact. In fact, it may be considered to be part of the fiduciary duties of the Personal Representative (Executor) to do so so as to preserve the value of this asset of the estate.
If the vehicle will be operated in the interim by someone, you should most definitely contact the insurance agent for guidance. It may be that the insurance policy addresses the issue of whether or not the liability coverage remains in force for a period of time after the insured's death, but the insurance agent is the best source of information. Alternatively, the person who will be operating it may be able to have the vehicle placed on his/her auto policy, or the existing policy may be able to be endorsed to show the (temporary) operator of it as an additional insured.
How do you buy auto insurance without a licence or car?
A driver's license or a learner's permit is necessary in order to buy liability insurance. The insurer's underwriting of the risk is dependent upon some minimum showing of the ability of the applicant to operate the vehicle, and a license evidences that.
It is not necessary to own a car in order to obtain liability coverage. Most insurers will sell a liability insurance product that is generically referred to as "non-owners coverage". This sort of policy is tied to the person who purchases it and provides liability coverage for him/her regardless of the vehicle being operated.
Other kinds of auto insurance, such as collision and comprehensive coverage require that the person purchasing it have an "insurable interest" in the vehicle. This means that he/she has a financial stake in the continued existence/condition of the vehicle.
Why is insurance higher on red autos or is this so?
Studies show that police pull over Red cars more than other colors. It may be the illusion of red as being a faster car. I don't think that insurance is higher for color, but may be if you get more tickets with the red car, thus upping your insurance rate. Certain car models that are in demand by young "drifters" and illegal street racers are stolen more and thus may lead to higher insurance too. If you are shopping for a car it is a good idea to call your insurance company and ask them which cars will cost more to insure than others.
The short answer is that the person who is on the policy, must have a financial interest in the vehicle.
Usually, it is the responsibility of the owner. However, if you have insurance on your vehicle, they will step in as secondary coverage...including covering the damage to the vehicle you were driving, if you have the coverage.
What is the difference between a life insurance policy and a Will?
In its simplest terms, a life insurance policy is a contract whereby an insurer agrees to pay a sum of money to the beneficiaries named in the contract upon the death of the person who's life is insured. In that sense, it is in reality better called "death insurance", because at some point, everyone will die. In return for the agreement to pay, the person or entity that purchases the life insurance policy pays periodic premiums (sums of money) to the insurer. The premiums can be paid for various periods of time depending upon the terms of the policy. If premiums are not paid, the policy can lapse (terminate), such that upon the insured's death, nothing is payable. Again, depending upon the kind of insurance involved (term vs. whole life), the policy may become self-supporting, at least for a period of time, after premiums have been paid for a time.
In contrast, a Will is a legal document that directs the disposition of the deceased's property upon his/her death. Since the Will is written prior to death, the property that is addressed is the property that the maker then has. Under ordinary circumstances, the beneficiary(ies) of a Will do not have enforceable legal rights to that property unless the deceased still owns it as of the time of death. Therefore, the deceased, while living, can sell or otherwise transfer the property at any time prior to death. Likewise, under most circumstances, a beneficiary or other term of a Will can be changed/eliminated. This can be done either by a complete re-writing of the Will, or by the preparation and execution (formal signing) of an amendment to the original Will, which is called a Codicil.

Are you insured to drive other cars which are not insured?
You should double check with your insurance company to see how your policy is written, but usually your insurance would kick in as secondary coverage and you would be covered.
A driver who does not have a valid drivers license will be fined and charged, this has nothing to do with a car that is insured, if the driver is caught and cannot prove that the car is insured the fine will be doubled or tripled. No sane person would drive a car without a valid license or insurance, no matter what part of the civilized world you live in.
What is an additional driver on auto insurance forms?
The premium charged for auto insurance is determined by a number of factors. These include the identity, age, driving history, and other factors pertaining to the primary driver listed on the application. It is his/her operation of the vehicle that is principally covered by the policy.
However, if it is the insured's expectation that another person will periodically operate the insured vehicle, that other person should be identified on the application, and be included in the scope of the policy issued as an "additional driver". Normally, an additional premium will be charged to account for the risk factors presented by that person's use of the vehicle.
Most states require auto owners to maintain "no-fault" coverage; it is sometimes referred to as "Personal Injury Protection". It is a first-party coverage, which means that one maintains it for their own benefit.
No-fault coverage pays a percentage of the medical expenses and lost wages sustained by an injured part in an auto collision, and benefits are payable irrespective of fault. That is, your own coverage pays benefits even if you caused the collision.
Depending upon the state in which the policy is issues, a deductible of some amount may be allowed. A deductible is the amount which the insured is responsible for paying before insurance benefits are triggered.
A similar coverage, which pays over and above no-fault is called "medical payments" coverage. An additional premium is charged for this because it is an optional coverage. It also is a first-party coverage which pays irrespective of fault.
