Avatar: the Last Airbender is about the spirit of the world in human form, so when ever (s)he dies, (s)he reincarnates into a new life. In the Avatar world (which is made up by the Water Tribes, Earth Kingdom, Fire Nation, and Air Temples) there are regular humans and "benders." Benders can "bend" the four elements, which mean they use a form of martial arts to move their element (water, earth, fire, and air). The Avatar is destined to pretect the world and is the only one able to bend all four elements. Avatar: The Last Airbender is about Avatar Aang, a twelve year old Avatar traveling the world and mastering all four elements with the help friends. Meanwhile, a war is going on because the Fire Nation is trying to take over the world. 100 years ago the Fire Nation destroyed the Air Temples and killed all the airbenders and air nomads because they knew the next Avatar would try to stop them and would be born as an airbender, but Aang was frozen in an iceburg and got out 100 years later so he is the last airbender.

The show Avatar the Last Airbender is about a 12 year old boy that is really 112 years old. He meets 2 people named Katara and Sokka, that found him in an iceberg. The airbender's name is Aang. When Katara and Sokka find him in the iceberg, he keeps that secret that he is the avatar away from them. But when a banished fire nation prince named Zuko goes to the South Pole where Katara and Sokka live, he figures out that Aang is the Avatar.

Ever since Zuko was banished, he has been chasing the Avatar so he could get his honor back.

Also, Aang really likes Katara. And whenever Aang tries to tell Katara that he loves her, then something always interupts him. But at an invasion called The Day of Black Sun, Aang kisses Katara. Then, in the very last episode of Avatar the Last Airbender, Aang and Katara finally kiss.

They would have appered a bunch of times keeping an eye on the gaang. Shamylon said he was filming the Kyoshi Warriors to much more than Aang so he cut them out. Which sucks

In the case of Raggedy Ann, it was the doll by about three years. Illustrator and writer Johnny Gruelle rescued an old, dusty rag doll from the attic to give to his young daughter. Since it had no face, Gruelle painted one. They decided to name the doll Raggedy Ann, combining the names of two poems by James Whitcomb Riley, "The Raggedy Man" and "Little Orphan Annie." On September 17, 1915, Gruelle received a patent on the rag doll and in 1918 the first in a series of Raggedy Ann books was published. Raggedy Andy came along two years later.

Unfortunately, there will not be a fourth book.

Update (28 September 2013): If you're looking for a direct sequel to the events of Avatar: The Last Airbender, there are a couple comic books series that start directly with the shows ending and continue from there:

The first is the three-part "The Promise", which is somewhat complicated to explain and you should read it. It has been collected in one hardcover trade edition.

The second is the three-part "The Search", which (as the name implies) is the search for Zuko's mother which was teased in the finale of the series.

Another comic series is planned after The Search (though the name escapes me). It is worked on (or at least supervised) by some of the original creators.

Zuko had a horrible past. His mother had left him because of his father, his uncle's only son had died at war leaving him hopeless, his sister was a mean little brat, his father had an obsession for power and banished because he thought that he was too weak. The only way to gain back his father's acceptance was to capture the avatar.

There is no season 4. They have came up with a whole new series called the legend of korra.
