Has anyone out there owned a Baikal 20 Ga over-under and how did it perform?

I have used an IZH-27 for two duck seasons now and for a bit of amature clay shooting. What a fantastic firearm, typical Baikal, not the flashest, built to last, pull the trigger and it goes "bang" and keeps going "bang". For the price I think you get a lot of gun depending on what you want to use it for. 20ga 1 1/8 oz load in #5 or #6 shot brings down most things and the 3" #4 shot is the bees knees for geese. We are fortunate to still be able to use lead in the 20ga. Mine i found to shoot higher than the bead but it suits me as i can keep an eye on the bird. Hope this helps, definitely value for money and there are plenty of sites about this being OK for clay shooting in the USA.

What would a 22 cal rifle built like an military carbine look-like be worth and where the used for military training?

Uh, we don't use 22 caliber rifles for training anymore, they're kind of obsolete. The closest thing I can think of for you is a winchester, but it doesn't look like an M4 series..
