in the beginning, yes, your feet will hurt, but once you have broken in your pointe shoes they will start feeling like a second skin, and you will be able to practice and do pointe exercises more fluently and more easily.

Level 5 in ballet is a advanced level you can get stronger in. In ballet 1 you learn the basics. In ballet 2 you learn more steps but still not to advanced. In ballet 3 you learn some more steps and get a little more advanced. In ballet 4 you get stronger and more steps and at that point your feet get stronger and when your feet are strong enough your teacher decides if you go up on pointe or not yet. After 3 or 4 years in ballet 4 you go to ballet 5. ballet 5 is a very advanced class and is the highest level you can get to!

Well first get a type of dye that is safe to use on the satin, I THINK that they make Pointe Shoe Dye. DON'T use hair dye. Then just put a small dot on each side of the pointe shoe, then use a makeup sponge to spread the dye around.

A Ballet Scholarship is like a normal scholarship, but to some sort of speciality Ballet College, School or association.

The Corps de Ballet is the backbone of a ballet company and performs in all the large group sections of a ballet. The female Corps de Ballet in many classical ballets must be very well rehearsed so they can maintain symmetrical lines and perform in perfect unison. A dancer who excels in the Corps de Ballet may be promoted to a Second Soloist and be asked to perform smaller group dances and some solo roles. Demonstrating their talent and strength as a Second Soloist, can lead a dancer to being promoted to First/Principal Soloist. As a Principal Soloists, dancers are given more solo roles to perform and are groomed for principal roles. When a dancer has reached a certain level of technical ability and artistic maturity, they are promoted to Principal Dancer, the highest ranking of dancer. Principal Dancers perform starring roles in a company's repertoire.

It really depends on the ballet teacher, and their rules. They may have strict dress code rules, or they may be relaxed about it. Just ask your ballet teacher what you're required to wear.

I have had Russians a few times, and they are a lighter pink than most pointe shoes. They also have more of a tapered end than others, and a harder shank. But they last FOREVER! Mine lasted three months and I only used jet glue once. My one dislike is that they don't have a drawstring, which is very annoying.

ballet shoes - beginners wear soft ballet shoes and as you progress you move onto wearing pointe shoes. both these shoes come with either a full sole or a split sole. personally i prefer a split sole.
