It really depends how quick you learn in general and/or how determined/ passionate you are to do Ballroom and Latin dancing. For me, it's taken a few half an hour lessons and my Instructors want me to do exams at Christmas time. So whether you call that quick or slow depends on how fast you learn!! Please try hard, and even if it takes a lot of effort, it's totally worth it!

However, i think that if you want to take it seriously and me very good, why not start earlier? You'll develop lots of skill fast and will be much more advanced by age 13. Well in Ballroom dancing their are different styles. It depends what country you are from. The main styles are Ballroom, Latin American and Street Latin.
Ballroom (Also called Modern or Standard) involves Waltz, Foxtrot, Quickstep, Tango, Vienesse Waltz.
