How long does it take for a banana to get rotten?
Bananas, it depends on how ripe they are when you buy them. I always try to buy them with a little green still left in the peals, this gives them a longer counter life, from 3 to 5 days. If they are all yellow, they don't have long to go. When they begin to get brown spots on the peals, They are not really bad, they just aren't as firm and tasty. Never put them in the refrigerator unless you are going to eat them the next day.
Why should you never put bananas in the refrigerator?
If you put bananas that have not been peeled in the fridge the skin will turn black. The banana itself will still be fine. I know this because during humid weather i put them in the fridge so they don't go mushy.
When did bananas come into America?
Answer: the first banana to have been sold in the UK appears to have been in 1633 brought by Thomas Johnson [1].
Bananas originate from south East Asia [2], and spread to Africa and the Middle East where they were spread to southern Europe by arabian traders, so although many of the bananas we eat today are grown in the Carribean and Americas it is possible bananas could have arrived in Britain before the discovery of the New World. The article linked mentions a banana skin dating from 1500 being found in London, but gives no reference.
Disclaimer: I have entirely based this off half an hour of research on the Internet

The banana was first cultivated in Southeast Asia, possibly as early as 7,000 years ago. The fruit was already known in Europe in classical times; the ancient Romans called it ariera. It was introduced into the New World by Portuguese sailors in the 1500's.
Does banana mold faster than strawberries?
Broccoli by a large margin molds faster than carrots. In my personal experience, and I eat a lot of steamed veggies containing both of these plants (nearly every day), mold will begin growing on broccoli in about a week and carrots are often free of the fuzz until two or three weeks after purchasing. Of course, this depends largely on how old the produce is at the time of purchase, and whether it is organic or not. Many of the chemicals that are used on non-organic produce inhibit the growth of mold, so it may last longer in this case.
Where are bananas mainly exported?
India holds the world record for the most exported bananas exporting 16.5 million metric tons of bananas per year
They technically do not "farm" bananas. Bananas grow on trees, and being that, they are not "farmed", they are more as grown. Most farmers do not farm bananas because they can't technically be "farmed".
Do bananas ripen faster in a plastic bag or do they ripen faster when not in a plastic bag?
Bananas ripen quickly on their own as they're one of the few fruits that release ethene. Keeping them together in a plastic bag should make them ripen. Keep them away from other fruit that you don't want to go off, and if you want avocados to ripen put them in a brown paper bag with bananas in an airing cupboard.
