Why are all baseball stadiums built differently as in the measurements and the width and length things like that?

Rule 1.04 of the Official Rules of MLB states that the minimum distance to a fence will be 325 feet and minimum to center field will be 400 feet. There is no set distance specified in the rules so the distances to the fences can be different between teams as long as they meet the minimum requirements. Teams will build their ballpark to fit the style they want to play. A team with a lot of offensive power may want their fences to be closer to home plate than a team that relies on pitching and defense. Another aspect of building a stadium is how much money its going to cost. The more money it costs the more amenities it will have, such as luxary seating, number of parking spaces, swimming pools, restaurants, and such. The basic design of the baseball field cannot be changed, that is, the shape of the field and the distance between bases and foul lines. But as far as how many seats the stadium will have, how much parking, what food will be served ... all of that is all left up to whoever owns the stadium.

Why do baseball players remove a finger from their glove and extend it outside?

That is a personal preference and done mainly for comfort. There is no advantage nor disadvantage in doing it .... some players just feel more comfortable with the finger outside the glove.

The index finger is closest to the pocket of the glove so you get more padding by having it outside the finger of the glove.

In what year was the pitchers 'mound' introduced?

The pitcher's mound was introduced in 1893. Prior to 1893, there was a 4 foot wide by 5 1/2 foot long box on flat ground that the pitchers pitched from. The pitcher could put his back foot anywhere along the 4 footback line of the box, which was 55 1/2 feet from home plate, to start his delivery. In 1893, to create more offense, the box was replaced with a raised mound and a rubber slab from where the pitcher could start his delivery. The rubber slab was 12 inches in length and positioned 60 1/2 feet from home plate. With the pitched ball having to travel an extra five feet and the pitcher not being able to use a wide angle to deliver the pitch, the league batting average rose 35 points in 1893 and another 29 points in 1894.
