Continue seeing her/him until you feel better. The psychiatrist will sometimes use higher doses or a combination of antidepressants to make you feel better. I have severe depression and I am on five different antidepressants but I feel so much better. I am taking cymbalta, wellbutrin, prozac, lamictal, and trazadone (which also helps me fall asleep and stay asleep and is not addictive).
