They can do. However please bear in mind that different species of birds have different beaks.

Birds with short beaks are fed small grain-size foods which they can break open. Whilst birds with large beaks are fed larger food which they won't accidentally swallow and choke on.
Parakeets can eat finch food, but they should ideally have food produced specifically for parakeets due to their beak differences.

There are many different species of small parrot that are referred to as parakeets. The most commonly kept species is the budgerigar. Budgies can live to be in their late teens or early twenties if they are well cared for, but most pet budgies do not live that long due to bad breeder practices, poor nutrition and lack of proper veterinary care.

The best species depends largely upon the lifestyle and personality of the human caretaker. Even though they are smaller than other kinds of parrots, most species are very noisy and messy. A budgerigar is a good species to start out with to see if living with parakeets is right for you. Oh! I asked this question myself when i got my parakeet! You can very easily tell how old your parakeet is, just by looking at the lines on it's head. You must estimate though. There is no exact way of knowing how old your parakeet is unless you watch it hatch. If the black lines on a parakeet's head are very very close to it's beak, it is a very young bird. As the bird gets older, the lines on its head by its beak seem to disappear. if there are lines on the back of a parakeets head,expect it to die soon. Parakeets don't live that long.

Noodles should be fine for parakeets, as an occasional treat. Don't feed them egg noodles (although these are probably still okay). My cockatiel likes spicy ramen soup. I've had to keep him from climbing into the bowl.

They can, but the egg will obviously not have an embryo inside. This laying causes an incredible amount of stress to the bird, so she must receive calcium supplements. If the egg is removed from the nest/cage, she will likely lay another one, so some pet stores or bird specialty stores carry fake eggs to put in, that won't rot like real eggs, and that will lower the likelihood of her laying more.

It's the little colored band above their beak with the two little holes in it. You can tell a male and a female apart by the color of the cere once the birds are older. The cere will be blue if it is a boy and pinkish brown if it is a girl. The colors will change often when they are under 6 months old, but when they are about that age the color will settle. A bird might ruffle its feathers to remove something on the feathers, to put feathers back in place where they belong after preening or after being handled, etc. Ruffling is just a way of putting feathers back where they belong.

There are a few things you can teach them to do. I know you can teach them to talk (some never talk), you can teach them to ring a little bell on one of their bird toys, and sometimes you can get them to whistle. You can also possibly teach a parakeet to fly on to your finger, as this trick is most likely tough to teach. There are probably other things you can teach them too. I suggest you research for more info. Remember to only teach them one trick at a time, more than one (being worked on for a while), can confuse your parakeet.

In the wild, most birds would find hollows in tree trunks that other animals made and nest in them. If you are trying to breed your parakeets, you will need a nesting box. Petsmart has them, make sure you get the right size, and don't get a dark colored one. That sometimes will make them ignore it.

Last year when I went on vacation for 10 days, I gathered all my parakeets and took them to a care giver while I was going to be away. Unfortunately when I returned I discovered one of my males, (alpha male for sure) had escaped and lived in my apt. in the dark with out food or water, unless he could find it somewhere in the abyss, and he was there waiting for me when I got home. He definitely had been traumatized and I was painfully distraught that this had happened. He recovered in about a couple of months, (long time in bird's life) and found a soul mate again. Which they both have produced babies. But let me say if you leave your parakeet alone please supply this sweet bird with a companion That is the only way. Mostly seeds are good. But apples, spinach, and corn are also good for budgies. Also some grass seeds are good for parakeets also. Corn is especially good because it gives the parakeet good shiny feathers.

They are not actually "kissing" in the sense that we humans understand it.

Two male budgies are the easiest pair to keep together. Two females will likely fight, as female birds are notoriously more aggressive than male birds (but not always, for example if they were raised together then they are unlikely to fight). A male and a female bird have a 50% chance of fighting occasionally, possibly resulting in some injuries. But two males together with no female to compete over will get along like brothers, whether they're actually siblings or not.

When two birds "kiss" each other, they are showing each other acceptance and affection. It's a sign of friendship in birds, not love as it is in humans. Two birds who are also close friends will also groom each other occasionally, huddle together on the perches and snuggle together when sleeping.
They will also share food. If they have a treat for example, they will often divide it up between the two of them and eat an equal amount of the treat each.

Birds will also do the same thing to their human companions, particularly parrots like the African Grey. They're just very affectionate creatures who care for each other.

Your two males are not in a homosexual relationship with each other. It's just something that birds do with really close pals. Birds are far more intelligent than we humans give them credit for. Studies have shown that some bird species can solve intermediate problem solving tasks quicker than humans.

you do not need to give them any material the mom and dad will pick off some feathers and put them in the nest for the eggs to be you can try and give them something but they might not take it.
