Do birds prefer to live in a cage with unlimited food or out in the forest?
Birds would prefer to live out in the forest rather than living in a cage inspite of having unlimited food or comforts.Birds are born with the power of flying. They are meant to have their own freedom.

Why do birds sit together on electrical wires?
They are social creatures and likely to hang out where everyone else does - like people! They tend to gather in flocks too. If it's near intersections my guess would be that's because it's between two clear fly zones, where there are not tall trees or buildings to get in their way as they fly. They like to stay relatively close to the ground for warmth, water, food, action...and wires are everywhere so they are used to hanging out there.
Why do parakeets peck at each other?
Birds tend to not like each other, especially if they are the same type of bird.
How do you know if your budgie is in love?
You can tell if your budgies are in love if the kiss (they would open their beaks and you'll see their tongues touch and stuff), they would preen each others head, go on top of each other and... make a baby :P My budgies kissed and preened each others head a lot!

Can you teach your zebra finch to talk?
Zebra Finches can't talk, but one of my Pied Zebra Finches make a call that imitates the sound of an alarm. My Zebra Finches do answer me, though. When I walk in the door and say "Hi" to them, they chirp back. Zebra Finches can make beautiful calls, so without tricks, these cute little birds put on a show...with their singing!
Thanks,
Grace's Finch Care
How old does a parakeet have to be to get its wings cliped?
As soon as the wings are feathered and they are trying to fly. It's just dead feather so it really doesn't matter.
Parakeets need a nest box but not a "nest" in the traditional sense.
A typical Parakeet nest box measures about 10" by 10" by 10" with a hole in the front (like a bird house) and a back where you can remove the top half to check the chicks and clean it out.
In the bottom of the box, you place a wooden insert the same size as the box with a concave cut-out in the center (makes a shallow dish so the eggs stay in one place). You hang the box on the outside of the cage with the hole and a dowel (for perching) mated and secured up against a seed cup hole. No nesting material is used at all and the birds like it that way.
How do you stop your pet bird squawking really loudly?
You can try to keep the cage dark, by covering it but this is only a quick fix. Budgies are squawkers. This is what they do. Or you can do what I do, squirt them with a water bottle, or tell them to shut the F'k Up!! it works for me.
This is a popular movie gag that someone will say something and a parrot will repeat it. However, it's not guaranteed a parrot will repeat something after you. An African Grey is most likely to do this the first or second time it hears something, as long as it is said with great enthusiasm. Great Enthusiasm, you say? Why would you need great enthusiasm? Well, see here, parrots LOVE attention. They adore it. They live for it. So when you say something with great happiness or enthusiasm a couple of times or so, the parrot will start to think, Hey, whatever this person is saying is of great importance. If I could somehow get that kind of attention... Eventually the parrot may or may not leanr to say it, depending on the bird itself, and it will obliviously get attention for it, as talking is one of the charms of parrots and people love it.
Parrots can also be taught to speak on cue or speak with clear understanding of the word. Not simply mind-less repetition, but knowing that a grape is a grape and that green is green. They know what the word means and can use it properly.
How do you stop scaly beak on budgies?
Budgies and other pet parrots that engage in feather plucking are bored. As members of the parrot family are among the most intelligent of birds, they need more toys and mental stimulation, as well as positive interaction with their owners. Spend more time with your budgies, talk to him/her, and give your bird plenty of toys that make noise.
Do female ducks lay more than one egg a day?
Nope. Mine don't i guess they are not like their relatives ''chickens''.
Why do parrots eat their poop?
Often, the cause of this problem is lack of space in the cage to select a better spot to poop or it could be perch placement. If the perches are only over water or food, they bird may have few options when it is inside its cage (which should be as little as possible since a healthy, happy companion parrot is out of the cage interacting with its humans as much as possible) Pet parrots will tend to avoid pooping where they sleep and where they eat if they are provided with sufficient space to be able to easily avoid having to do so. In fact, a parrot can be potty trained to go in a specific place or even to go on command. My sun conure, SunDance, was potty trained! She would say "Go homie" and she wanted to be placed on the 'porch' area of her cage so she could hang her tail off and poop on the paper below. My friend trained her conure to only poop in the sink. I used to see around the Cocoa Beach, Florida area a beautiful female Eclectus that was so well potty trained, she was welcomed into restaurants and bars!
Why is your budgie so aggressive?
Budgies use their beaks for many purposes. Not every bite is intentional. Budgies may bite if they are scared or if you are annoying them. They might get jealous or territorial if you take a toy away from them. A budgie might gently use its beak to climb on your hands. They may peck at things that look interesting, like hair or a mole or your fingernail because they are curious. It's a lot like a toddler who puts every object within reach in his mouth. They may try to preen your hair because they like you but accidentally peck your skin instead.
Why does your budgie lick his brass bell?
Budgies are very curious animals, and like to explore things any way that they can. Birds don't have hands, so to touch things they usually use their tongues. A budgie that licks metal objects probably likes the way it feels on his tongue. If it is a big shiny bell, he may be touching his beak to it because he wants to play with the bird he sees in the reflection.
Do you have to clip a budgie's wings if they just can fly in a enclosed room?
It's not necessary but sometimes if you have a window in your room the bird will see it and believe it can fly though it, which it tries and will smash into it, usually the end to that is a dead bird with a broken neck. So It's a good idea to do so.
