Hello. You can skip a period while on birth control pills but constantly skipping periods via birth control pills, isn't recommended. Skipping a period this once will be fine.

Start slowly taking them at a different time. Like if you take them at 8:00am start taking them at 9:00am and keep going until you get to the time you like.

Just don't all the sudden jump from taking them in the morning to taking them at night.

Go slow and you should be fine.

If you had a non hormonal IUD the Mirena then you can get pregnant as soon as it is removed and there is still a high chance of pregnancy with other IUDs it just depends on how quickly your body adjusts to not having it in place and how it adjusts to not having hormones if there were any...hope this helps Good Luck and God Bless!

I don't know where you got your information from, but the Mirena IUD most certainly has hormones (levonorgestrel- a synthetic form of progestin) in it! It is the Paraguard (copper) IUD that does not contain hormones.

It really depends when you are getting this brown discharge. Brown blood at the beginning of a period is quite normal. Brown blood for a day or so at any other time during your cycle is not normal.
