I think the black community yearned for freedom and felt dehumanized by the way white people were treating them. The black community tried to maintain a family life in slavery. However unlike the white farmers in the south, the black community kept their culture and avoided first cousin marriages. Some blacks were free and were considered almost a third race without the rights of whites but did not have to answer to a slave owner. An older black colonization movement happened in the 1830s that fought to demolish slavery.

It depends what the animal has been eating recently. Typically, the shape is clumps about 1.5-2" in diameter dropped in a pile. If it has been eating meat, the color will be blackish and the texture smooth. If the bear has been eating plant material, the fibrous plant material will be visible. If the bear has been eating berries, they will be obvious. Because the bear's digestive system works very quickly, food is passed seemingly undigested; many times, berries pass through physically intact.

Black bears range in color from light brown to black; in northern regions there are gray and nearly white forms. There muzzles are always cinnamon brown and are straight in profile. They are further distinguished from brown bears by their hindquarters which are higher then their shoulders. Males are usually about 6 feet(190cm)long and weight about 500lb(230kg).

Other bears can be found in Russia, Mongolia, China, India, and a fair number of European countries including the United Kingdom, Germany, Austria, The Netherlands, Sweden, Denmark, Finland and Norway.

1. The same as all wild animals, bears don't like to take any risks unless it's really unavoidable. And cat is not harmless creature. It is small, but equipped with excellent response and claws sharp enough to damage bears eyes seriously.

2. Being near human house is usually too stressful for bear to get in fight with cat. That would produce extra noise, while bear is busy and can't watch his back.

Brown Bears have been known to kill Black Bears, especially small ones. A large pack of wolves can and have killed Black Bears before. People don't realize but the majority of mature Black Bear sows weigh between 150 to 250 lbs. Young Black Bears that recently got cut loose from their mother are even smaller than that and are the ones that seem to get themselves in trouble. The Black Bear has been around for thousands of years because it can climb trees just as good as a cat. It's their best defense against danger.

They might, but probably would not gain much nutrient fom it as it is too hard for their stomachs to digest. Wild bears have been known to eat certain types of tree bark, horsetail and skunk cabbage, but not grass.

Polar bears make a number of different sounds.

When it's angry it makes a low growl when it wants to warn something off. They will also hiss and snort when angry and challenging another bear. When they are angry they make roaring sounds and growl. Their roar does in fact sound like an elephant's roar.

Mother polar bears have a different set of sounds when communicating with their cubs - they will let out a low growl when disciplining their young. They'll also cuff their cubs with a big paw to let them know they've done something wrong.

If the bear is in distress and upset it makes chuffing sounds.
