I'd say that an average mpg for BMW's is between 20 and 25 mpg. Taking the light off is probably not the best solution, but instead checking what the error is reading out should be a more appropriate route. Many people believe BMW copied some of MB features, for a slight example, Usually over the years, MB has taken the spotlight and is considered to make better, over the top cars but BMW can take the Last place - above other similar companies such as Audi and Lexus.

Which is better? Most will say MB, they're genuine.

go to a locksmith or use a door code scanner and unlock it.

1. remove the airbox
2. remove the sensor on the bottom of the etank
3. remove the locking clip from the bottom of the etank
4. remove the top torx screw from the etank bracket
5. push the tank towards the firewall and pull up in the same motion. I did this about 3 times and on the 4th time, the tank lifted easily out.

Cars can run for hundreds of thousands of miles if cared for properly. A lot of miles on a car does not necessarily mean it is worn out. A lot of people believe that anything over 100,000 miles is a lot.

I have a 99 740 and there are four o-2 sensors. Two located in the exhaust behind the cat converter which are easy to locate. The other two are located in the exhaust in front of the cat conv and up in a not too easy place to reach or even see unless you raise the vehicle high enough to get underneath and look at the area where the exhaust rises up toward the engine. You can see the sensors screwed into the exhaust and follow the wires to their junction boxes located nearby. No problem once car is up in the air.

Park your car on a flat surface and make sure your engine is cool before going under the car. The oil pan should be on the center of the engine and will be a small pan that you can unscrew. Before draining the oil pan place a oil catch or oil tray underneath the cars oil pan so it can catch the oil that is being drained. Replace the oil into the engine before driving again.

You can find a motor for a BMW for about 1400 dollars to about 2000 dollars depending on the type of motor. Used motors can be found for a little less.
