Well it depends on the year of the bike and what you are looking for. Older Mongoose ( pre-2000) were decent bikes. Now they arent that good so no doubt Hoffman is the better bike.

Hyper bikes are better than mongoose bikes. If you are specifically asking about the hyper bike at Walmart. Yes, it is better than any mongoose! The weight is still a bit heavy. However it's a great starter bike for bmx! If your not sure your gonna like it or not. After a year we moved the kids up to redlines. If your looking for a bike for around town I would still recommend it over the mongoose!

Depends on the surface you intend to ride on. Soft surfaces you want a knobbly fairly coarse pattern, hard surfaces you can use nearly slick tires.

Well, if it doesn't say so on the frame it gets kinda difficult. Someone who has a lot of experience might be able to recognize the frame, or maybe even the serial number.

I'd say no. It has suspension, which makes it heavy and sluggish in handling. It also has an externally geared rear hub, which is likely to get banged up real quick during the kind of use BMX bikes usually have to put up with.

Bicycle as a rule don't end up being valuable collectibles. your best bet is to look up simialr bikes on Craigslist/ebay and see what they're selling for.

The Kink Whip is a very durable and light bike. It is really worth the price, and the only thing I would recommend is getting new grips.

id go with the kink barrier, better bike all round, the verde feels to small, the bars are to small, rims bend, stem scratches frame when you barspin, id go with the kink barrier personally

Magna bikes are intended for transportation, not off road use.

That being said, they are decent bikes for the intended price range of 75 - 100 dollars.

A Magna Invader sells for around 90 dollars new and about half of that used.

if your bike is a u, v or disk brake the cable is probably to tight or if you have hydraulic brakes of any kind your brakes will do this you just have to deal with it

Don't really understand what it is you want to measure. You've got the BCD(bolt circle diameter) already, and you can just count the teeth.

A freewheel will let the wheel roll forward w/o the pedals moving, but will pull on the pedals when the wheel is rolled backwards. A freecoaster hub can be rolled backwards w/o pulling on the pedals.

It's exactly what it says - a hub that has some sort of seal to protect the bearings from dirt and water. IT's not good enough to be called fully sealed, but it's better than an unsealed hub.

what you wanna do for a bri flip is to turn the handle bars 90 degrees and pull up then land on it best to practice on a ramp

The BMX bikes that you buy at Target and or Walmart are not the same BMX bikes that are used in BMX Racing and BMX Freestyle. Real BMX bikes are lighter, they have diiferent size sprockets among many other things. Feel free to google the National Bicycle League or the American Bicycle League to get more information.
