The usual temperature of a healthy person is 98.6 degrees Fahrenheit. If you are sick, then either your body temperature is higher or lower than that. If your body temperature is higher than that, then you have a fever.

Acetaminophen or an ibuprofen can help at bringing down the high fever. Drinking plenty of fluids at room tempt or warm can help as well as a damp towel cold towel to place on the forehead. If it remains high it is best to see a doctor.
