Why doesn't Logan International Airport have a Terminal D?
Logan Int'l doesn't have a terminal D because of the Terminal A project. When they were working on the terminal they had to reconfigure terminal C to accommodate Continental and Delta Shuttle. They then removed terminal D and Split it between Terminal C and E. When Terminal A project was done they saved the hastle of reconfiguring the Airport and left it as is. -Ryan:)
How long does it take certified mail to get from Tuscaloosa AL to water town ma?
Certified mail allows you to get a receipt for what you are sending and also to track your mail so that you know when it arrives. But it doesn't necessarily get it there faster: from Tuscaloosa AL to Watertown MA would probably take two to three days. Where did the Boston Strangler kill?
As the name implies, Boston and/or the Boston area. The has been much talk as to whom the real Boston Strangler was, since DNA evidence has cleared Albert DeSolvo of the last murder, that of Mary Sullivan. Even FBI agents felt the crimes were not committed by a single killer, most likely two killers working simultaniously in the same geographical area at approximately the same time. (not unheard of)
But, there are facts that cannot be ignored. Although DeSolvo was vague about some of the crimes, others he knew far too much. In all homicide investigations, police hold back certain facts as a way to weed out false confessors. DeSolvo knew unpublished facts that only the killer and the police would know. There is also the fact that the killings stopped with DeSolvo's arrest.
It is also possible that DeSolvo killed his first victim in the Boston suburb of Belmont. In Sebastian Junger's bestseller A Murder In Belmont, Junger puts forth the theory that the murder of Bessie Goldberg, circa 1962, was also the work of DeSalvo. DeSalvo was a carpenter's helper in that year, helping to add an art studio for Junger's artistic mother. Only a mile and a quarter from the Junger's home, Goldberg was raped and murdered, found in the early evening by her husband. Although another man, Roy Smith, was convicted of the crime, I'm not a big believer in coincidences, and more investigation is needed to sort out the truth.

What finally drove the bristish from Boston?
By June 1775, there were 6,500 British troops camped in Boston, while about 10,000 Americans surrounded the city. Nearly 1,600 of the colonial militia were atop Breed's Hill, which overlooked the city and the harbor. Nearby were more Americans on Bunker Hill. These colonial troops were farmers and workers, not trained soldiers. British General William Howe decided to to attack straight up the hill. His first and second attacks failed, and many of his men were killed. His third attack succeeded, but only because the Americans fan out of ammunition. Although the British won this battle, know as the Battle of Bunker Hill, it proves that the Americans could successfully fight professional British soldiers. In July 1775,George Washington took charge of the army surrounding Boston. He had the cannons seized earlier at Fort Ticonderoga moved to high ground overlooking Boston, thus making it impossible for the British to defend the city. On March 17,1776, the British withdrew from Boston. Although the Americans won this battle, Britain still held most of the advantages.

What did the son of liberty do?
The Sons of Liberty were a pre-revolutionary secret organization that were opposed to British's rule over the original 13 colonies. Groups under the name of The Sons of Liberty existed in every colony and worked to undermine British power in the area. They helped repeal the stamp act, and did so through various forms of violence, threats, and demonstrations.
In addition, the group also help enforce an almost complete boycott on British goods following the passing of the Townshed Act. The Sons of Liberty often erected "liberty poles" in order to public show their anti-British feelings. They are also held responsible for the burning of the British Ship, the HMS Gaspee, and for the famous Boston Tea Party. Once the American Revolution began, the Sons of Liberty were largely disbanded or formed into other groups actively involved in fighting the British.

Does the Boston pencil sharpener Model 18 have a thermal shutdown?
My (Model 18) is thermal shutdown too.
Yes,to your question. It is a safety measure to protect the motor,it stops the motor when the thermal temp. reaches a certain number of degrees. This could be caused by sharpening too many pencils at one time. You must remember this motor only supposed to run in short bursts, allow it too cool back down to the operating temp. limits. You also might have a problem with the gearing inside the unit, causing unusal drag on the motor. These gears are made of plastic, too hard and brittle to last very long. What i do is take the unit apart (Only three screws ) and lube the gears with 3 in one oil, this is a very good oil for this purpose. You can find this oil at Wal-Mart near the bolts of cloth, buttons and etc.. I hope this helps. I have a problem with my Boston pencil sharpener too,the large plastic gear cogs broke and now i'am having a difficult time locating this gear. Boston and their manufactures won't make them or sell them, they informed me that the pencil sharpener is a throw away item,to cheap to carry parts for,it would cost more for the parts than the whole unit.
No one really knows.
The Boston Strangler is a name attributed to the murderer of several women in Boston Mass., in the early 1960s
We do know who the Boston Strangler was. Albert DeSalvo confessed to these crimes and others after police chased him down while trying to worm his way into yet another woman's apartment.
DeSalvo killed 13 women in the Boston area in the early 1960s. In prison, DeSalvo retracted his confession, and tried to blame a fellow inmate for the crimes but in the end it was obvious he was the killer.
DeSalvo's attorney, a then young F. Lee Bailey, was convinced that his client was the Strangler, but the most compelling evidence was that once DeSalvo was jailed the crimes stopped.
DeSalvo was stabbed in prison by another inmate ending the era of the Strangler.
