Start by removing the three bolts. 2 are located under the rubber insert in the door handle and one is behind a plastic cover plate in the door release. Remove this plastic cover carefully as it has brittle plastic tabs to hold it in place and they easily break. If they do break, just use a touch of glue from a glue gun on to gently hold it in place.

Once the bolts are removed, carefully pull the door liner away from the door. There is a specific lever tool that you can buy to help you with this. I didn't have one and managed to pry it apart using my fingers. Again, do this carefully as the plug holders on the reverse of the door skin can break off if you are too heavy handed.

Then, once it has been freed all the way around, it's just a case of lifting it up to release around the window sill. You may find it easier to do this with the window fully down to give you more room. Also be careful to lift over the protruding lock latch.

Once the skin has been lifted off, you will need to release the door latch cable (using pliers) and disconnect the wiring loom for the windows. Remember to close the window before disconnecting if you are not putting it back together straight away!

To put it back - just reverse the process remembering to locate all of the push plugs properly so that there is no loose fitting.

Easy operation that takes five minutes to remove.

That engine picture is called an engine light. It means that something needs to be checked out. How many miles do you have on your vehicle? Often times, manufactorers will set that light to go off at a certain number of miles so that you will bring your car in for a check up. Since your car is relatively new, I would guess that is probably what this is. But if you have a lot of miles on your car, there could be a problem somewhere. These days, when that light is triggered, mechanics can hook your car up to a computer that can diagnose the problem right away. This light is not something to completely ignore, but it's not likely that your car is going to quit running! The major things that I would worry about, like my oil level and brakes, have their own warning lights that come on when there's trouble in those areas. It's probably just a sensor if it's not just time for routine maintenance.

They tell me the console has to be removed to get to the SHIFTER light at a cost of $150.00!???

It tells you when you open the door. Otherwise, on the stick where the directional signal is, there is a little turn wheel that goes up and down. It will flip you through a bunch of screens in the DIC.

GM claims that to flat tow a 2012 Buick LaCrosse one only has to remove Fuse #22 (Discrete Logic Ignition Switch fuse) from the Instrument Panel Fuse Block.HOWEVER, if the car is equipped with push button ignition, Fuse #22 is not there. The problem is that to flat tow the Lacrosse it must be in neutral and when in neutral the power is on in the auto. This places a 7.8 Amp load on the battery and if you flat tow for more than a couple of hours you wind up with a dead battery.

A BETTER SOLUTION is to apply power through a momentary normally-off push button switch to the M7 Transmission Shift Lock Control Solenoid Actuator in your automatic transmission. Here is how it works:-

The Control Solenoid Actuator prevents you from shifting out of PARK when your auto is not running. Thus, to flat tow your car, put the shift lever in Park, shut off your ignition and then push the button while moving the shift from Park to Neutral. You wind up in Neutral while at the same time, all the power to your auto electrons are turned off. VOILA IT REALLY WORKS. My dealer did this for me. It is an elegant solution to the problem.

Compression? not likely a problem here unless all the rings are worn out or the head gasket is blown - you would see unusual smoke from somewhere if that was the case I think.

It is located under the plastic covering near your windshield, just pop it open and it is under a shield that keeps it from getting wet.
