its best to disconnected the negative battery cable but check to make sure its ok to do so because of security system and such. i didn't and it was fine. drain cooling system. loosen the 4 pulley bolts but don't remove until you remove drive belt. use 15mm wrench on belt tensioner push towords fire wall and remove belt. write down belt routing around pulleys so when you reinstall it. remove bolts from pulley and water pump bolts. 1 bolt can't be removed till power steering pump is loosened. there is 1 bolt you have to remove from power steering pump and 1 you have to loosen. top 1 you remove bottom 1 you loosen. they can be reached through the holes in power steering pulley. push PS pump towards fire wall remove bolt from water pump. clean surfaces use new gasket with a little sensor safe gasket sealer reinstall. fill with proper coolant.

I have a 2007 LaCrosse CXL. My car first started whining on left-hand turns. I now hear it upon take off. I noticed an oil spew on my lower driver-side door. After reading a previous post, I learned that a faulty power steering pump and an empty reservoir may be the problem. One consumer warned that when making a right-hand turn his car lost power steering and caused a wide turn. The problem was consistent with a left-hand turn as well. Hopefully, I will have a definite answer. I'm scheduled to take my car to the dealer tomorrow.

I've got a CXL, with the cargo netting, I've changed the bulbs before, this is what I had to do in mine. Not sure about the CX or CXS assemblies.

Pull back the felt lining in trunk, removing the hooks for the cargo netting, you should see something like 3 or 4 thumb screws. Remove them, push on the long bolts where the screws were, and it should push out. After that, just disconnect the wiring harness and attach the replacement part, or just pull the lights out of the plastic and reattach the lights to the new cover, depending on how you got your assembly.

Bearing/Hub: Apply grease sparingly to the inside of the hole through the steering knuckle (NOT the hub/bearing). Install the hub and tighten the three hub retaining bolts to 70 ft lb (95 Nm).

Axle nut: 118 ft lb (160 Nm)

Brake caliper carrier (caliper bracket) bolts: Clean threads with alcohol, apply thread locking compound to bolt threads, allow to dry for ten minutes. 133 ft lb (180 Nm)
