What order do UNO cards get played?
There is no order. It's color on color (for example: red on red, yellow on yellow, green on green, blue on blue) and number on number (for example: red 7 on blue 7, yellow 3 on green 3, etc.). Reverse and Skip must be played on their corresponding color or on a Choose Color card (black card with red, yellow, green and blue circle on it). And Choose Color cards can be placed on any card, any color.

What does skip card mean in uno?
Let's say that in clockwise order around the table you have Players A, B, C and D, and the play direction is clockwise at the moment. Player A plays a Skip card. Player B's turn is skipped; he does absolutely nothing (except catch Player A for not saying "Uno" if applicable). Player C can play either a Skip of any color, any card of the color of Player A's Skip card, a Wild card, or, if he doesn't have a card of the current color, a Wild Draw 4. If he plays a Wild or a Wild Draw 4, he calls the color. If it's his second-to-last card, he says "Uno" before laying down the card. If he has no playable cards or chooses not to play any of the cards he has, he draws one card from the draw pile. Object:
Win the title of "Miss High Cotton" by winning the last high cotton chip. It is desirable to do this without getting or giving scratches and bruises, but it is competition after all.
Set Up:
· The players all sit around a table or on the floor. This game works well on the front porch so you can wave at passersby or at the kitchen table where snacks and drinks are close by.
· Place chips on the table or floor using one less chip than the number of players. Place the chips so they are in easy reach of everyone. This is just plain good manners
· Shuffle the cards. The hostess of honor gets to be the first dealer and deals 4 cards to the others. For later rounds the deal will pass to the left. All cards not dealt become the dealer deck.
Game Play:
Examine your dealt hand. The dealer says "pass" and every player simultaneously chooses one card from their hand, passes that card to the person on their left. The dealer draws her card from the dealer deck. The player to the right of the dealer (the last player before the dealer) creates a discard pile during play. The discard pile is not used unless the dealer deck runs out.
Players must pass a card before picking up a card! No player can ever have more than four cards in her hand, so she may not pick her new card before passing one to the left. Keep a careful watch for any cheaters in the crowd. Continue passing one card to the left and taking a card from the person on your right every time the dealer says "pass." If the dealer deck runs out, the discard deck may be used.
When a player collects four of a kind she picks up a chip. One can be sneaky about this if one chooses. Once the player with four of a kind picks up a chip, everyone else should grab a chip as quickly as possible. The player who does not get a chip is out of the game. It would be great if this person would then serve drinks to everyone still playing.
Remove one chip from the table and play another round. Continue until there are only two players playing for the last chip. The player to get four of a kind and the last chip is "in high cotton" and is named "Miss High Cotton"! She should immediately receive a crown or roses, or at a minimum get to have her own parade as soon as possible. Be sure to take her picture.
If time permits - play another game. Things could get testy if you have several winners of "Miss High Cotton" around, so if anyone throws a hissy fit you should immediately take away her drink.
It is acceptable to beg, plead, bargain or bribe in order to be the next hostess of High Cotton. It's always a good idea to take photos of everyone having a good time. High Cotton card game was recently acquired by Avriett House.

Because people have chat turned off can still see those messages. So turning off chat does nothing, because the opponents can still spam their chat screen by turning their chat on and off. Likewise, your partner can still try to say something to you.

I have discovered that if you keep the screen from scrolling for about 2 seconds, it will lock like that and stop the annoyance.

Usually it is because you or another player taking too long to make a move.
It is infuriating to fast players, particularly in the expert level, to have others lagging their game. If you ever get spammed with on/off messages (since their chat messages are limited) think to yourself if it is you who is taking too long to play your card, before thinking that they are idiots who are doing it for no reason (which is also possible but less likely).

No, it's because they are idiots. I am one of the fast, expert players.
If they don't like how long another player is taking to play, they should just quit rather then annoying the rest of us.
You can lie but you should rather not. It would be a fair game.
