Will two male ferrets get along?
It really depends on what kind of dogs you get, or if you train it to never hurt anyone, dogs such as Yorkies get along if they are male.
This generally depends on the dog itself, and if they feel threatened. It's pretty much the same as asking if two people will get along.
How would you introduce a ferret to another one to avoid fighting?
Baby ferrets should not have any problems accepting other ferrets, Older ferrets that may have never been around other ferrets or animals may be a problem. Some ferrets may not readily accept other ferrets or they might take to each other right away. Every ferret is different and sometimes personalities clash, though it is rare. An older ferret might challenge a baby ferret for social order. When they first meet, supervise their reactions to each other and from that you'll be able to determine whether to put them together or keep them separate. Be aware that ferrets do play rough together, and it's okay, unless blood is drawn, or one ferret is hissing at the other, then you need to separate them
Reason for a ferrets nonacceptance of another
* Introduction of a new ferret * Possessiveness of space or items * Dominance * Hormonal changes * Some ferrets are solitary and never get along with other ferrets If ferrets seem incompatible, separate them into separate areas. Exchange bedding with each other odors for a few days to get them used to the smell and eventually they will smell the same, If you have separate cages, put them within distance of each other and move them closer each day. Them try again. Sometimes they will just have to fight it out, which is okay and long as they do not draw blood or if one seems excessively nervous or stressed of the other.
Advice from another contributor:
I would put them in the same cage but let them meet first. take them both out in a ferret safe room and supervise their every move, if they start playing after a couple minutes, they'll be fine together and will keep each other company. If the results aren't that good, I would prepare an extra cage ahead of time before they meet and wait until they're age difference is fairly even or both have gained their maturity.

Ferret collars are not necessary, but with a bell they are useful when out of their cage to locate them. If you use collars make sure it is a breakaway collar like used on cats. Ferrets were not discovered as they do not exist in the wild. They came about after someone, at some point in time in an unknown place, realized that a trained polecat would be an invaluable aid in the hunting of rabbits due to rabbits being the polecat's natural prey and also because polecats are extremely agile creatures that are more than capable of following a rabbit down a burrow.
Once a wild polecat - probably a bay one, as it'd be easier to domesticate and train - had been obtained and the experiment proved successful, it would have made sense to breed more rather than have to go out and catch them. Over time, these domesticated polecats became known by a different name - ferrets.
The point at which people first began to keep ferrets as pets, rather than as working animals, is also unknown. However, we are not so very different from people thousands of years ago and it's probably safe to assume that various people simply liked ferrets enough to keep them as companion animals.
Can you leave another female ferret with a Jill that has just had kits?
Some jills are extremely tolerant mothers, while others will not accept another Jill in the same cage. It would be best to separate them into separate cages. Depending on the Jill's individual personality, once the kits are eating solids and self-sufficient, you may be able to mix families. But there maybe some jills that will not be able to tolerate each other; these must be kept separately.
Advice from another contributor:
sometimes say if the Jill you are leaving with the mother is old. but when i tried that because my ferret had babies and ignored them and we put it with the other Jill who had kits and it killed them instantly, i wouldn't advise it because the mother can become very distressed that the kits and in danger as well.

This isn't a food sold in the US, so I'm not as familiar with it.

It does make the fiber content high, I usually try to stay around 3% or less. I'd also prefer to see something with a few more meat ingredients. Perhaps you could supplement with raw meat/ meat soups.
Ingredients: Chicken Meal (Min 37%), Wheat, Herring Meal, Poultry Fat, Linseed, Beet Pulp, Maize, Dried Egg, Fructo-Oligosaccharides.

A baby ferret requires a lot of attention and training, plus they are very active. An older ferret should already have training and not as active as they tend to sleep more.

Bite and housetraining a ferret takes quite a bit of work and dedication and can be challenging for a first time ferret owner. You can find young ferrets up for adoption that have received the proper training from the shelter.
