I believe you are refering to a black rat snake.

As the hoop snake is a legend, one can only guess. Most snakes lay eggs which incubate and then hatch.

For baby corn snakes you should feed them 'Pinkies' (two day old mice). For sub-adults you feed them 'fuzzies' (Juvernile Mice). For adults you feed corn snakes Adult Mice.

No, they prefer to be left alone although many will tolerate or even seem to enjoy being held. You could handle them for 30 min sessions everyday or a few minutes every other week if you want. Try not to handle more than 1 or 2 times a day or too long of time at once, if you feel that they are cold, put them back. Some species will need constant handling to stay docile, though, while others will need to never be handled unless cleaning their cage or for emergencies.

They really do not need that much at all. In the wild, they will bask on a sun-warmed rock and absorb the heat from that in lieu of sunbathing. Snakes like to stay hidden in their environment, and exposing themselves for long makes them a target for predators.

its possible but corn snakes ideally need a wooden vivarium to keep the heat in and because its a baby corn you will need a lot of decorum (shelters, plants, hides ect.) because corn snakes love to be under/inside things and especially if you house the corn in the glass tank it will need alot of hiding places to make it feel safe and also will need to be placed in an area that doesnt have alot of movement outside because corn snakes are quite shy. hope that helped :)

You should feed a corn snake in a separate container because, they will know that their cage isn't food and they are less likely to bite. And yes you should 100% yes if you have two in the same cage because if two snakes get in a fight over a mouse it could be a fight to the death and it isn't fun trying to pull two hungry fighting snakes away from each other.

"Snake nests" are generally a misconception and don't exist. When snakes lay their eggs of have their litter they do it in an already existing site. Whether it be a rodent burrow or a rotten log, if the female feels it's an acceptable place for her babies to start their life then that's where it will be. In captivity it has been noticed that they like high humidity, tight, warm places for nesting sites. Also, while they may make modifications to the site, they will never completely "build" a nest in the traditional sense.

The fastest way to killl any snake is by cutting or chopping off its head. OR you could try this: I just killed a 2.5ft Copperhead that was in my garage ... it ran across my wife feet and stayed by the door to the house (I had seen skinks there earlier - food source!). I boiled several pots of water and poured them on the snake... it moved very slowly until it died. It was not going to leave and I had to make sure that it was dead.. I thought bleach, bug spray... something heavy but the boiling water did the trick... hated it but I have small children and pets ... no compromise!! Too bad that won't work on Progressives!! M

Proper euthanasia technique (so as to not put the animal in any more pain than necessary), is a quick death- a chop of the neck, or a well aimed blow to the head. Lethal injection is also legal. By the way, why do you want to kill it? If there were a small snake in my yard I would be glad that I don't have to deal with mice.

All of these are terrible, cruel ways to kill a snake. The quickest, most humane way to kill them is destroying the brain. Their slow metabolisms make injections and poisons take a long time to work, and chopping off the head doesn't kill them right away either. Also, it is cruel to dump boiling water on ANY animal, how could that ever be seen as an ok way to kill something?

Since they are a popular species - your local library will have plenty of literature on the species. I suggest you do a lot of research before you even consider buying a snake if you've never kept one !
